Atomic Machines is building the Matter Compiler™, the first in a new class of AI-native, all-digital manufacturing systems that build working machines directly from code. The Matter Compiler™ is aimed at micro-machines: motors and gears the size of a grain of sand, robots small enough to work inside the body, cooling built directly into the chips that run AI, and the many devices like them that have been waiting on a way to build them. Its first product is PrimeSwitch™, an electromechanical power relay the size of a button battery that carries 150 amps continuous current and opens in 50 microseconds, about a thousand times faster than a conventional contactor. Founded by Jeff Holden — serial entrepreneur, ex-Amazon SVP and Uber’s first Chief Product Officer — the company has raised $250 million to date.   Atomic Machines is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with offices in Emeryville and Santa Clara.   About the role:

We are looking for a full-time Executive Assistant to be a critical partner to our founding team: our CEO and Head of Strategic Growth.

Our mission requires solving problems no one has solved and building capabilities that don't yet exist. It also requires operating differently from organizations built to optimize known systems. That means no role here is beneath anyone. Everyone at Atomic Machines is here to make the company succeed, and supporting the founders in that goal, whether the task is small or enormous, is critical work. If you are the kind of person who sees what needs to happen and does it, you will thrive here.

You will have a front-row seat to how a fast-growing Physical AI company is built and run. Working alongside the founders, you will see how decisions get made, how the business executes, and how a company scales to commercial manufacturing. You'll keep two fast-moving leaders focused on their highest-impact work, and you will grow alongside the company as you do it. Intelligence is getting cheap. Matter is still hard. Come work on the hard part with us.

This role is based in our Santa Clara office 3-4 days a week, with 1-2 days a week at our Emeryville office.

What you'll do:

• Run the executives' schedules, priorities, and incoming requests, using sharp judgment to protect their time and focus
• Coordinate domestic and international travel and logistics
• Be the point of contact between the executives and our internal team, investors, customers, and partners
• Represent the executives in meetings and communications with professionalism and a clear understanding of their priorities
• Draft and send communications on their behalf in their voice, at a high standard of quality
• Prepare the briefings, documents, and presentations that help the founders walk into every room ready
• Drive projects across the company and follow up until they are done
• Manage expenses, offsites, events, and hosting of guests, partners, and candidates
• Handle highly sensitive information with complete discretion

Who we are looking for:

We care less about years of experience than about who you are. You might be an experienced executive assistant ready for a bigger mission, or someone earlier in your career with unusual drive. What matters most:

• Tenacity and grit: You keep going when the work is hard, the priorities shift, and the answer is not obvious.
• High judgment: You know what to escalate, what to handle, and what to say no to, and people trust your calls.
• Mission alignment: You are energized by doing something big and hard, and you want to be part of building it.
• Resourcefulness: You figure it out without waiting to be told.
• Discretion: You can see everything and handle it with total confidentiality.
• Curiosity: You want to understand how the business works and why.
• Polish and warmth: You represent the company well with people at every level.
• Tools: Proficient in Google Workspace and quick to pick up new tools
• Education: Bachelor's degree required

The compensation for this position also includes equity and benefits.

Salary Range$175,000—$220,000 USD
