Within ISG, innovation isn't just about creating new technology- it's about challenging assumptions and reimagining how work gets done. Engineers define intent, author precise specifications, and orchestrate AI agents that execute at speed and scale. AI is embedded throughout our development process, helping us move faster, learn quicker, and deliver greater impact. Yet the most important contribution remains uniquely human: deciding what to build, designing how it should work, and applying the judgment needed to earn our customers' trust. When your products power critical infrastructure around the world, that responsibility matters.

We move quickly toward the work that matters most. We reward experimentation, encourage bold thinking, and remove unnecessary barriers so great ideas can become reality faster. Our teams embrace a customer-first, first-to-market mindset, transforming rapid feedback into better products and better outcomes. We aren't looking for people who are content with the status quo- we look for builders who question it, improve it, and occasionally rewrite it.

If you're energized by solving complex systems challenges, excited to work alongside AI to amplify your impact, and motivated by the opportunity to shape what's next instead of simply maintaining what's been done before, you'll find your place here.

Join us and help build the future of enterprise technology.

From applied research to advanced engineering, the Engineering Technologist team has the expertise to shape ground-breaking products, material and processes. It’s a fascinating field of work. We’re involved in assessing the competition, developing technology and product strategies and generating intellectual property. We lead technology investigations, analyze industry capabilities and recommend potential acquisitions or vendor partner opportunities. Our insights influence product architecture and definitions. And we work with colleagues across the business to ensure our products always lead the way.

Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Network Architect on our Engineering Technologist Team in London, United Kingdom.

What you'll achieve

As a Network Architect, you will act as a senior technical authority for next-generation AI infrastructure, providing architectural leadership across customers, partners, and engineering teams. You will drive the strategy, design, and optimisation of large-scale AI environments spanning AI fabrics, accelerated compute, storage, networking, power, and cooling technologies. This is a highly influential individual contributor role focused on technical leadership, innovation, and architecture rather than people management.

Take the first step towards your dream career
Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:

You will:

• Design and develop scalable AI network and fabric architectures based on customer and data centre requirements, leveraging InfiniBand, Ethernet, AFL, and emerging networking technologies.
• Lead the end-to-end architecture of AI infrastructure, including GPU-to-GPU connectivity, server-to-storage communication, in-rack cabling, optical design, and data centre-level network topology.
• Optimise network architectures and configurations for AI training and inference workloads, ensuring maximum performance, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate directly with strategic customers to evaluate workloads, tune solutions, and deliver highly optimised AI infrastructure tailored to application requirements.
• Partner with key technology suppliers and industry leaders to develop differentiated networking software, solutions, and architectures that integrate with AI frameworks and applications while advancing innovation in high-density, liquid-cooled data centres.

Essential Requirements

• Deep expertise in AI and data center networking technologies, including Ethernet, InfiniBand, AI fabrics, switches, NICs, DPUs, optical networking, and large-scale fabric design.
• Strong understanding of network topologies and architectures optimized for AI training and inference environments, including data centre network and optical distribution design.
• Proven ability to translate concepts into production-ready solutions, balancing technical, business, customer, and stakeholder requirements.
• Knowledge of networking standards, protocols, and industry ecosystems, with established relationships or experience working with key networking suppliers and partners.
• Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with experience leading customer, partner, or cross-functional engineering programmes.

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience), with expertise in networking and AI fabrics and approximately 10+ years of relevant industry experience; advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
• Experience assessing customer requirements and developing infrastructure blueprints for geographically distributed deployments, with the flexibility to travel as needed.

Who we are:

We believe that each of us has the power to make an impact. That’s why we put our team members at the center of everything we do. If you’re looking for an opportunity to grow your career with some of the best minds and most advanced tech in the industry, we’re looking for you.
