About the role
About Griffin
Hi, we’re Griffin. We’re a fully regulated UK bank that powers the accounts and payments offerings of product-led fintechs and platforms like Uber, Yonder, Prosper, and Sidekick. By doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes, our customers can focus on what they do best - delivering amazing customer experiences.
We’ve grown rapidly since our launch in 2024, and today provide the banking backbone behind products in remittance, payroll, wealth, insurance, proptech, payments, neobanking and more.
We’re moving into card issuing, stablecoin infrastructure, and agentic finance next as we continue to support the next generation of product-led companies.
Our culture
We believe that smart, motivated, conscientious people thrive in high-trust, high-autonomy environments and have done our best to create such an environment at Griffin. People who thrive here don’t require much hand-holding, and go out of their way to figure out how to contribute in the most valuable way possible.
We've been remote-first since we were established in 2017 and we remain so today. Work here is asynchronous and fully flexible - because we want to be a part of your life in a way that helps you to get the most out of both your work and home life.
We understand that our culture and ways of working aren’t for everyone, and we’re very intentional about our hiring process as a result. We won't hire people who don’t seem like a strong fit for our core values, even if they're otherwise extremely qualified.
Our strong culture has helped us to remain a mission-driven company as we have scaled, and gives our people a clear, explicit operating framework and the space to focus on delivering real value for our customers.
The team
Griffin is a UK bank built for builders. We give fintechs and platforms the bank accounts and payment rails to launch their own financial products, and clients like Uber, Yonder, Anna Money and Counting Up build on us. Our commercial team brings sales, customer success and marketing together to win, onboard and grow those clients. We’re a team of 10 people, made up of former founders and growth specialists.
The opportunity
You’ll become the engine behind how our commercial team makes decisions. Working alongside the Chief Revenue Officer, the Head of Commercial and the Head of Marketing, you’ll see the full picture of how a bank wins, onboards and grows its clients, and your analysis will shape where the team focuses next. There’s no narrow lane here. One week you’re building a forecast, the next you’re preparing a renewal review, and if something needs an owner, it’s yours.
What success looks like
In your first 6 months, you’ll have given the commercial team a forecast it trusts and spotted risks early, so every quarter end runs smoothly. People across Sales, Customer Success and Marketing will rely on our data because it’s accurate and up to date, and the team’s reviews will run like clockwork. The board and investors will receive numbers they can follow with confidence, and the executive team will already be turning to you for its priority projects.
To do this you’ll own
The numbers: the reporting that runs our commercial business, from pipeline and bookings to annual recurring revenue (ARR), net revenue retention and consumption against forecast, plus pricing and deal-structure modelling, including consumption-based pricing and customer profitability
Our CRM: clean, well-structured data, built with Sales and Customer Success around clear stage definitions and fields people actually use
Sales and customer success insight: analysis of conversion, sales cycle length, win and loss reasons and pipeline coverage, plus account analysis for renewals covering volumes, revenue, margin and product adoption
Marketing performance: campaign tracking and pipeline attribution so every pound of spend ties back to revenue, alongside ad hoc work like target account lists and event reporting
Commercial governance: deal approval and discount policies, pricing and contract records and clear audit trails, working with Legal, Compliance and Finance
Our operating cadence: documented processes and the weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews that keep the team in rhythm
Executive projects: high-priority projects, briefings and materials that give you close exposure to how strategic decisions get made
We expect you to shape this role
This description reflects what we need today. How you achieve these outcomes, where you focus your energy, how this role evolves—that’s for you to define as you learn what our customers need and where our technical gaps are.
Your background
To ensure this, we’re looking for people who have most of the following:
You’ll have some experience as an operator. If it’s in a commercial, revenue operations, sales operations, analytics, consulting or finance role then that’s a bonus
A habit of rolling up your sleeves and taking ownership without waiting to be asked
Curiosity about fintech, banking and how money moves
A structured mind and an eye for detail, with the flexibility to switch between spreadsheets, research and talking to people, and a knack for finding the story in the numbers and explaining it simply
The ability to learn quickly, ask good questions and take feedback well
A love of writing - we have a major amount of written documentation that you will be contributing to, and we place a high degree of importance on clarity and readability (you can find out more here about how we write)
Ideally, you would also:
Have experience in fintech, SaaS or a fast-growing startup
Want to build a career in commercial, sales or growth
How do I apply?
Are we your next move? Apply via the link below, if there's a match our Talent team will reach out to schedule an initial conversation and talk you through what happens next.
We don’t work with recruitment agencies, so please don’t send us speculative CVs.
Under representation
At Griffin, we’re looking for people who instinctively vibe with our values, behaviours and mission. You’re encouraged to apply, even if your experience doesn’t tick every box. Careers, like life, can take many twists and turns. Your technical expertise and path to where you are today will stand out. We're committed to creating a place where everyone belongs and we welcome diverse perspectives, backgrounds and people who are ready to build a global platform for programmable finance
