At Bristol Myers Squibb, our employees often ask, “Who are you working for?”—a question that fuels collaboration, accountability, and urgency in our work. Our purpose-driven culture inspires us to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines to prevail over serious diseases. We offer uniquely interesting and meaningful work, opportunities for growth, and a supportive environment that values inclusion, wellbeing, flexibility, and comprehensive benefits. This is work that transforms the lives of patients, and the careers of those who do it.

The clinical trial doesn't start until the supply arrives. That's where you come in.

There's a part of clinical drug development that doesn't always get the recognition it deserves but without it, nothing else happens. No trial starts. No dose is administered. No data is generated. No patient gets access to a medicine that could change their life.

That part is logistics. And done properly, in a regulated pharmaceutical environment, it is far more skilled, more consequential and more interesting than most people realise.

At Bristol Myers Squibb, we're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Clinical Supply Warehouse & Logistics Operations team in Moreton, UK. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role for someone who takes real pride in doing things right because in clinical supply, doing things right is everything.

What will you actually be doing?

You'll be at the operational heart of our clinical supply warehouse - ensuring that the right materials, drug products and components are received, managed and distributed accurately, compliantly and on time, in direct support of clinical trial manufacturing, packaging and distribution schedules.

Day-to-day, that means

• Receiving, checking, and verifying deliveries - raw materials, drug product, and components - ensuring everything that comes through the door meets the standards our clinical programmes depend on
• Sampling and dispensing materials - including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), excipients, drug product, and packaging components - for use in clinical trial manufacturing, with a responsibility to check and verify the work of others as well as your own
• Preparing Dangerous Goods documentation - for air, road, and sea transport, ensuring full compliance with IATA, ADR and IMDG requirements for hazardous goods
• Executing SAP transactions - managing materials, warehouse operations and distribution activities within the system, with the accuracy and attention to detail that a GxP environment demands
• Operating counterbalance and reach forklift trucks - safely and compliantly, as an essential part of day-to-day warehouse operations
• Conducting rolling inventory counts - producing count documents, verifying data and resolving inventory differences in line with procedural requirements
• Managing distribution to UK clinical sites and clinical returns - serving as the primary point of contact for outbound courier collections and ensuring that Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) are shipped using the right solutions, compliantly and on schedule
• Participating in UAT testing - reviewing and executing test scripts for systems and applications relevant to your area, contributing to the technology that underpins the operation
• Upholding GxP and EHS standards - ensuring that everything that happens in the warehouse area meets regulatory requirements and BMS's own high standards

What's genuinely in it for you?

• Specialist pharmaceutical logistics experience that travels Working in clinical supply logistics within a GxP, IMP-regulated environment is a genuinely specialised professional skill set - one that is consistently in demand across the pharmaceutical industry. Every day in this role, you're building expertise that is directly transferable and commercially valuable wherever your career takes you.
• Hazardous goods expertise across all three transport modes Your IATA, ADR, and IMDG qualifications put you in a small pool of professionals qualified to prepare and oversee hazardous goods documentation for air, road, and sea transport. This role gives you an active, real-world environment to apply and deepen that expertise - keeping your qualifications live and your knowledge sharp.
• SAP proficiency in a live operational environment SAP is the backbone of pharmaceutical supply chain operations globally. You'll use it every day here - executing materials management, warehouse, and distribution transactions in a regulated, high-stakes environment. That operational fluency in SAP is a professional asset that consistently strengthens career prospects in pharma and life sciences.
• Senior accountability from day one This isn't an entry-level role. As a Senior Technician, you'll carry genuine responsibility - verifying the work of colleagues, acting as the primary contact for shop floor distribution activities and outbound courier management, and contributing to inventory accuracy across the operation. You'll be trusted to own your deliverables and to hold a high standard around you.
• A team that depends on each other - in the best way Clinical supply teams operate with the kind of mutual reliance and shared accountability that creates genuinely strong working relationships. You'll be part of a team where your contribution is visible, your reliability is valued, and your colleagues have your back.
• Work that connects to real clinical research It's easy to forget, in the daily rhythm of a warehouse operation, what all of it is for. But in clinical supply logistics, the connection is direct: the materials you manage, the shipments you dispatch, the documentation you prepare - all of it enables clinical trials that are testing medicines for patients with serious conditions. That context makes the attention to detail and the high standards feel genuinely worthwhile.

Is this you?

• You'll be qualified to A Level standard, hold your IATA, ADR, and IMDG certifications for hazardous goods transportation, and be qualified in RTITB Reach and Counterbalance Forklift operation.
• You'll bring demonstrable experience in materials management and logistics within a pharmaceutical environment - ideally with IMP experience - and a working knowledge of GxP guidelines applied to investigational product distribution.
• You're confident in SAP and Microsoft Office, you communicate well across teams and functions, and you bring a proactive, quality-focused work ethic to everything you do.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-minded - you understand that in clinical supply, the small things matter enormously. Because they do.

We hire for skills and capabilities, not just credentials – if this role excites you, but doesn’t perfectly match your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
