What you’ll be part of

Garner is on a mission to transform the U.S. healthcare system — and we’re the only proven player doing exactly that. We partner with employers to redesign how healthcare works: applying 550+ proprietary clinical metrics across 80+ specialties to a dataset of 320M+ patients to identify the best-performing doctors, then using compelling incentives to steer members to the care that helps them get healthier, faster.

The result is a rare “win win” — better care and lower costs for both members and employers. In just five years, our work has helped over 2.5 million people access higher-quality care and saved $1B in healthcare costs. We recently raised our Series E and have doubled five years running. If you've ever wanted your work to solve a problem that touches every person in this country, this is the opportunity to do exactly that. You'd be joining a team fundamentally reimagining healthcare in the U.S. — and using AI to scale that impact further and faster than anyone else can.

Who we want

This is a role for someone who wants to work on a hard problem, deliver real impact and be pushed to be the best version of themselves. As a VP, Mid-Market Sales in the East / Mid-Atlantic region, you’ll report directly to the SVP, Mid-Market Sales.

As an integral member of our sales leadership team, you will have the responsibility of managing a team of Regional Directors and Account Executives. Your team will focus on sales within the 50 to 9,999 life segment, making significant contributions to our overall growth and success.

What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of Regional Directors and Account Executives in the East Region, ensuring they meet and exceed their sales targets
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth within the specified segment
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align strategies and achieve company objectives
• Provide leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability
• Oversee the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities within the region
• Monitor and analyze regional sales performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards, as well as industry regulations
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing brokers and partners in your region

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 5 years of proven track record in sales leadership and management, with experience in delivering against team quotas
• Extensive experience working with benefits brokers and consultants
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales goals
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• A desire to do work that matters: and to be held to a high standard while doing it. You're energized by a mission with measurable outcomes, not just good intentions. You engage with AI tools as part of how you do your best work, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes that matter beyond your team’s metrics.

What you’ll get here

At Garner, you’ll take on real, ambitious problems with real ownership and autonomy, alongside exceptional, principles-based people who genuinely want you to win. It’s demanding by design. You’ll be challenged to stretch beyond what you thought possible and receive consistent coaching to help you grow and do the best work of your career. This isn't the right fit for everyone, and that's intentional. The people here are driven by what's at stake for real people, and that's what gives our intensity its purpose.

Please note: we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
