Mexico Clinical AI Scientist (MD)

About Telepatia

Telepatia AI is a healthtech company on a mission to transform healthcare in Latin America and beyond. Born at Stanford and built by doctors for doctors, our platform introduces AI Healthcare Employees that work seamlessly within clinical workflows: transcribing consultations in real time, generating structured medical records, offering evidence-based decision support, and integrating into any current health system—all without disrupting the physician's workflow.

Already adopted by thousands of doctors and leading hospitals across the region, Telepatia has demonstrated measurable impact: lowering cognitive load, improving patient experience, and increasing adherence to clinical protocols.

Our vision is bold: to empower healthcare professionals with scalable, trustworthy intelligence and pursue nothing less than the first Nobel Prize in Medicine for Latin America since 1984—with an AI Doctor.

About the role

You are a physician fluent in clinical workflows who is passionate about transforming patient care through AI. As a Clinical AI Scientist, you will bridge the gap between medical practice and technology, collaborating with product, engineering, and deployment teams to create intelligent healthcare solutions that doctors love and trust.

You will:

• Translate real-world clinical problems into actionable AI models that improve physician decision-making and workflow.

• Partner with engineers to validate and fine-tune models using real clinical data from across Latin America.

• Serve as the clinical voice in the development of new features and tools.

• Run field pilots with doctors in hospitals and clinics, gathering direct feedback to refine AI products and ensure medical accuracy.

• Work closely with the Medicine team to adapt protocols, note templates, and recommendations to Mexican health regulation (GPC, NOMs) and local practice.

• Participate in training, onboarding, and support for early adopters.

• Communicate key clinical insights to product, engineering, and commercial teams.

What we look for

• Medical degree (MD) with clinical experience in Mexican healthcare settings.

• Deep understanding of physician workflows, preferably across multiple specialties.

• Interest or experience in AI, data science, medical informatics, or digital health strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to earn trust with frontline doctors as well as engineers.

• Analytical skills: ability to interpret clinical data and impact metrics.

• Grit, ownership, and adaptability in fast-moving, often ambiguous environments.

• Spanish native, English fluent (able to work with technical documentation and international teams).

Nice to have

• Research or QA experience in clinical data sets, medical AI, EMRs, or digital health products.

• Familiarity with Mexican health data privacy and regulation (NOM-004, NOM-024, LFPDPPP).

• Experience running clinical pilots, clinical trials, or launching medical technology.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience).

• Variable compensation tied to project success and adoption milestones.

• Equity participation.

• Direct mentorship from global clinical, product, and engineering leaders.

• The opportunity to shape the future of AI in medicine and see your work impact thousands of doctors and patients.

• Career growth: potential to move into medical leadership, data science, or clinical product roles as Telepatia grows.

How we work

• We're always on.

• We own what we do and don’t wait for anyone.

• We move fast and with focus.

• We play to win.

If you’re passionate, ambitious, and believe in the power of AI to serve doctors and patients, we want to hear from you.
