## Role Overview

We are looking for creative and research-driven **Script Writers** who understand digital storytelling and know how to keep audiences watching.

You will be responsible for researching topics, developing compelling narratives and writing scripts for YouTube videos and other digital content formats. The role requires a balance of creativity, factual accuracy, audience understanding and a strong instinct for hooks, pacing and storytelling.

Candidates with experience writing for established YouTube channels, digital creators or media platforms will be preferred. Experience in finance or personal finance is a strong advantage, but exceptional storytelling ability and research skills are equally important.

## Key Responsibilities

* **Script Development:** Write engaging, well-structured scripts for YouTube videos, explainers, educational content and other digital formats.
* **Research & Fact-checking:** Research topics thoroughly using credible sources and ensure scripts are accurate, relevant and easy to understand.
* **Storytelling & Hooks:** Develop compelling openings, narratives, transitions and endings that capture attention and maintain audience interest.
* **Trend-led Content:** Identify trending topics, viral formats, relevant news and audience questions that can be converted into strong content ideas.
* **Complex-to-Simple Communication:** Break down complicated subjects into clear, relatable and engaging stories without compromising accuracy.
* **Audience Understanding:** Adapt writing styles, storytelling approaches and formats to suit different audiences and platform requirements.
* **Collaboration:** Work with program managers, researchers, editors and subject-matter experts to develop and refine content.
* **Script Optimisation:** Incorporate feedback, performance insights and retention learnings to improve future scripts.
* **Content Ideation:** Contribute original ideas for video series, recurring formats, explainers and creative campaigns.
* **Quality & Timelines:** Deliver well-researched, polished scripts within agreed timelines.

## What We’re Looking For

* 1–5 years of experience in scriptwriting, digital content, journalism, editorial research or a related field.
* Strong writing, storytelling, research and editing skills.
* Understanding of YouTube content formats, viewer retention, pacing and audience engagement.
* Ability to write conversationally without making content superficial or unnecessarily complicated.
* Strong curiosity about business, markets, money, investing, consumer behaviour and current affairs.
* Ability to work independently, accept feedback and manage multiple assignments.

## Good to Have

* Experience writing for established YouTube channels, digital creators, media houses or content-led businesses.
* Background in finance, economics, commerce, financial journalism or personal finance.
* Familiarity with investing, mutual funds, taxation, insurance and wealth management.
* Experience writing long-form YouTube scripts, explainers, documentaries or video essays.
* Familiarity with AI-assisted research and writing workflows, with the ability to independently verify facts and maintain originality.

**Note:** A finance background is preferred, not mandatory. Candidates with excellent research skills and a strong portfolio of YouTube scripts are encouraged to apply.
