Ultra (Ultra Robotics) is a Brooklyn-based robotics company that builds and operates Operator (OP1), a stationary dual-arm AI robot that automates repetitive, high-volume e-commerce fulfillment work such as order packing, sorting and kitting. Ultra rents its robots to warehouses and 3PLs under a robots-as-a-service model (an upfront integration fee plus monthly hardware and software support), with deployments in New York, New Jersey, Georgia and Texas, and partners with Physical Intelligence for the AI models that run its fleet. Founded in 2024 by Jon Miller Schwartz, Max Friefeld, Oliver Ortlieb and Chetan Parthiban, it went through Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch. In October 2026 it announced $62M in total funding, including a $50M Series A led by Framework Ventures. Sources: ultra.tech, ycombinator.com/companies/ultra, Fortune (Oct 9, 2026).
