Pieter Abbeel is a professor of artificial intelligence and robotics at UC Berkeley and a distinguished scientist, vice president and scholar at Amazon. He co-founded Covariant and Gradescope and previously researched at OpenAI. His work spans robot learning, reinforcement learning and foundation models. He earned his PhD in computer science at Stanford and studied electrical engineering at KU Leuven.
