NZVC is New Zealand's first operator-run venture fund. It writes the first institutional check into companies started in New Zealand and Australia, from pre-seed to Series B, usually before there is traction, and helps founders reach American customers and investors when they are ready. Mark Pavlyukovskyy, Ajay Gupta and Glen Anderson founded it in 2021, and Hendrik Remigereau, who leads its investing in Australia from Sydney, joined as a venture partner and is now a General Partner on Fund II. Every partner has built, scaled or exited a company. Its second fund targets up to $50 million. Its 77 portfolio companies include Dawn Aerospace, Sharesies, Positron, Generalist, Syos Aerospace, Foundry Lab, Vessev and ArchiPro.
