Zero Percent PBC Zero Percent platform keeps good food from being wasted by using web & mobile apps to help it reach people who need it most. Roughly 40% of the food we harvest ends up being wasted. We're not talking about those last few bites of jambalaya you couldn't finish. We mean healthy, edible, perfectly good food that never gets eaten. Allowing food waste to rot in landfills is damaging to the environment. With 15% of Americans unsure of where they'll find their next meal, it doesn't make much sense to throw out so much food. There are food rescue groups all over the country devoted to solving this problem. They rescue prepared food from restaurants and donate to homeless shelters and soup kitchens so that it reaches the needy. But sometimes, donation pick-ups are missed and the food ends up in the trash. The Zero Percent web and mobile apps help simplify the donating process for businesses and help improve pick-up efficiency for agencies. This helps keep food out of dumpsters and puts it into grumbling bellies. Nice and simple.
