Sabi is a Palo Alto startup building the Sabi Cap, a non-invasive brain-computer interface built into a wearable cap (a beanie, with a baseball-cap version in development) that decodes thoughts and attempted speech into text and prompts for AI agents. It designs its own custom EEG sensors and ASICs that read brain signals through hair and scalp, with up to roughly 100,000 tiny sensors per cap, and trains a proprietary 'Brain Foundation Model' on about 100,000 hours of neural data. Co-founded in May 2024 by CEO Rahul Chhabra and CTO Atmadeep Banerjee, Sabi emerged from stealth in April 2026 and announced a $50M seed round led by Khosla Ventures in October 2026, with Accel, DST Global, Initialized Capital and Kevin Weil participating.
