TheFounderVC is a pre-seed and seed fund, based in Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area, that backs U.S. founders building vertical AI companies. It writes $100K–$200K checks, often as the first yes, alongside venture-scale rounds with co-investors who share its conviction. Its partners are AI founders and operators with exits: Founding Partner Mia Lewin sold StyleGenome to Wayfair, Partner Paul Longhenry led product and corporate development at Tapjoy through its sale to ironSource, and technical advisor Jay Bartot is a four-time founder and former CTO of Madrona Venture Labs. It launched in 2024 with a $5 million first fund. Portfolio companies include Daydream, Potato, Catchouse, Otis AI, Ridge AI, Auto, logcat.ai, Liminary and Planette.
