A chemical engineer, his work includes AI agents for chemistry, scientific literature and molecular design. He joined the University of Rochester's chemical-engineering faculty in 2015 after a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago. He earned a PhD in chemical engineering at the University of Washington and a BS in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman.
