Yuchen Jin is a Member of Technical Staff at Databricks, which he joined in April 2026 after serving as co-founder and CTO of Hyperbolic. Previously, he progressed from senior machine-learning systems engineer to engineering manager and tech lead at OctoML, where he worked on Relax, the graph-level language and compilation infrastructure in Apache TVM. His research internships included ByteDance and Microsoft. He earned a PhD in computer science at the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree in computer science at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
