Yuandong Tian is a co-founder of Recursive. He previously spent eleven years at Meta FAIR, progressing from research scientist to research director, with work on reinforcement learning, reasoning, language-model efficiency, and interpretability. Before Meta, he was a software engineer on Google's self-driving-car team. He earned a PhD in robotics from Carnegie Mellon in 2013 and bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
