Mamoon Hamid’s path to Silicon Valley began in Frankfurt, where he grew up speaking across cultures; his languages include German, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and English. An engineer at Xilinx before becoming an investor, he went on to USVP and co-founded Social Capital. He is now a partner at Kleiner Perkins backing technology companies, with studies at Purdue University forming part of his engineering background.
