Ahmad Osman co-founded Osmantic and leads its work on private AI infrastructure, open models and self-hosted inference. He also moderates r/LocalLLaMA and writes about AI systems. Before Osmantic, he engineered transportation software at Trimble, first as a software engineer (June 2020–July 2022), then Software Engineer II (August 2022–April 2023). Earlier work included internships at Mayo Clinic, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines and Cloudinn, now Kwentra. At Luther College, he worked in IT support (December 2016–May 2017), teaching support (December 2016–February 2018), software engineering (May 2017–September 2018), and teaching, tutoring and grading (August 2018–May 2019).
