Cyber defenders have an unfair advantage. They have all the telemetry, and patching will always be easier than discovery + chaining. It’s not obvious with all the headlines today, but this is a fundamental truth. Today, this potential isn’t reality. There are meaningful gaps in solutions available for defenders, and many are having to make the difficult tradeoff between securing their systems and exposing their IP and telemetry to a provider that does “zero data-retention” performatively.
