Alejandro Matamala Ortiz is co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Runway, where he leads Runway Labs, an incubator exploring applications of generative video and world models. A designer and programmer, he previously held a research residency at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program and co-founded graphic design studio Material and art-book publisher Ediciones DAGA. He holds an M.P.S. from NYU and a degree in Digital and Multimedia Communication from Universidad del Pacífico in Chile.
