Arm technology powers billions of devices, and our goal is to find students who want to help build what comes next. Our intern programme would suit candidates with interest across engineering — from the hardware inside the chip to the software and tools that bring it to life.

What you could be doing

• Designing hardware — the logic, circuits and physical design inside Arm technology
• Proving designs work, through simulation, test and validation
• Modelling how systems perform, and balancing speed against power
• Building and optimising machine-learning models and the software behind them
• Writing the firmware, drivers, compilers and tools our engineers rely on
• Help shape and deliver technical products and programs through strategy, data, planning, customer insights and cross-functional coordination.
• Helping partners and developers around the world build with Arm

We Are Looking for Individuals Who

• Are currently enrolled and studying towards a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Maths or another relevant subject.
• Are motivated by technology, problem-solving, collaboration and continuous learning.
• Built, tested, analysed, improved or debugged something technical.
• Relevant experience can come from coursework, labs, research, personal projects, hackathons, student organizations, previous internships or other hands-on work.

Qualities That Will Help Your Application Stand Out

Experience in every area isn't expected. We're interested in examples of:

• Building, testing, debugging, analyzing, modeling or improving something technical.
• Applying programming, hardware, AI/ML, data, simulation or other engineering tools.
• Solving problems, learning new technology and collaborating effectively with others.

Additional Information

As part of your application, we’ll ask you a few questions about your interests and experience, including what you’ve worked on and the tools and technologies you’ve used. We’ll review this alongside your CV to help find opportunities that best match the interest you shared with requirements for the job.

Arm internships require you to be currently enrolled in a college or university degree program and returning to your studies after completing your internship.

Our internships are based across our UK locations in Cambridge, Bristol, Manchester and Sheffield, with 3, 6 and 12-month opportunities available depending on the role and location.

Please note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must have the right to work in the country where the internship is based, without relying on sponsorship by Arm, for the full duration of the internship.

Application Closing Date: 31st October 2026

We aim to review all applications no later than two weeks after the closing date. In peak periods there may be exceptions beyond this timeframe. We will do our best to keep you informed.

In Return:

Working on interesting new projects with leaders in the field is exciting, but we also know how important it is to receive support. That's why throughout your internship, you can expect regular feedback and development opportunities, social activities to connect with your peers, an end of internship celebration, plus the opportunity to be *considered for future Graduate positions (*subject to performance). #getreadytogrow

In addition to a competitive salary, our on-the-job learning and mentoring/buddy schemes provide unparalleled learning and networking opportunities from the best in the industry.

Use of AI in Your Application

At Arm, we embrace the benefits AI can bring, including in recruitment. You may use AI to support your preparation, such as improving the clarity of written responses, practicing interview questions, or learning more about our industry. However, your application and interview responses must reflect your own thinking, experience, and abilities. We want to understand your authentic perspective, creativity, and approach to problem solving. As such, you may not use AI to complete assigned tasks as part of any assessments. If you plan to use AI-supported or assistive technologies as part of a reasonable adjustment, please contact accommodations@arm.com so we can support you.

Recruitment Adjustments and Accommodations

At Arm, we want to build extraordinary teams. If you need an adjustment or an accommodation during the recruitment process, please email accommodations@arm.com. To note, by sending us the requested information, you consent to its use by Arm to arrange for appropriate accommodations. All accommodation or adjustment requests will be treated with confidentiality, and information concerning these requests will only be disclosed as necessary to provide the accommodation. Hybrid Working

Arm’s approach to hybrid working is designed to create a working environment that supports both high performance and personal wellbeing. We believe in bringing people together face to face to enable us to work at pace, whilst recognizing the value of flexibility. Within that framework, we empower groups/teams to determine their own hybrid working patterns, depending on the work and the team’s needs. Details of what this means for each role will be shared upon application. In some cases, the flexibility we can offer is limited by local legal, regulatory, tax, or other considerations, and where this is the case, we will collaborate with you to find the best solution. Please talk to us to find out more about what this could look like for you.
