• Liaise with industry associations and peer counsel networks to stay current on emerging policy developments affecting the technology sector in Korea.
• Manage matters handled by outside counsel, collaborating with corporate litigation counsel to coordinate any disputes or litigation arising in Korea.

Employee Experience and Compliance Support

• Provide local legal support as needed on human resources and compliance matters, including working with regional employment and compliance counsel in implementing policies and processes, ensuring compliance with local employment laws, and assisting with managing employment disputes or investigations that may arise.

Otherwise, qualification as an attorney in the US, England, Australia, or a similar jurisdiction is required. You should have close to 8 to 9 years of experience as legal counsel in Korea.
• Work history spanning both private practice in a reputable law firm and an in-house legal team at a large multinational company is strongly preferred.
• Native written and oral proficiency in Korean, and excellent written and oral proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex commercial and technology licensing matters independently, with strong judgment on when to raise highly complex issues with significant potential risk.
• Experience in or proficiency with AI, privacy and litigation is highly desirable. Otherwise, demonstrate a keen interest and drive to develop in these areas.
