About Codingal

Codingal is on a mission to inspire school kids to fall in love with coding.

We have empowered 500,000+ students to start learning to code through personalised 1:1 live classes with expert Computer Science teachers. Our curriculum is built on the K-12 Computer Science Framework and accredited by STEM.org, and kids find it genuinely fun. Parents and children in more than 70 countries trust Codingal for high-quality coding education. We are a global company headquartered in the US, backed by top investors including Y Combinator and Rebright Partners.

Coding improves logical thinking and problem-solving by 70% in young children, and lifts their performance in other school subjects too. Coding roles already make up more than 60% of all jobs in science, technology, engineering and maths, so kids who start early will be the creators of the future. About the role

As a Pre-Sales Associate, you are the first human voice a parent hears from Codingal. You will call parents who have shown interest in coding for their child, understand what they are really looking for, and help them see the value of a free trial class. You are not pushing a product — you are helping a parent make a good decision for their child, and setting up our sales team with a warm, well-qualified conversation.

It is a fast-paced, target-driven role with a lot of conversations every day. If you like talking to people, learn quickly, and want a clear path into a full sales career, this is a strong place to start.

What you will do

• Make outbound calls to prospective and existing Codingal parents to generate and qualify leads for coding classes.

• Run a customer needs assessment (CNA) on every lead — understand the child’s age, interests, school workload and the parent’s goals before recommending anything.

• Book and confirm free trial classes, and follow up with reminder calls so parents actually show up.

• Prime and nurture leads across channels — calls, WhatsApp, email and SMS — so no interested parent goes cold.

• Hand over qualified, well-documented leads to the Business Development team with clear context on what the parent wants.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in LeadSquared CRM and our telecalling tools every single day.

• Own your daily and monthly numbers — calls made, connects, CNAs completed, trials booked and trial attendance.

• Track your own performance metrics, spot what is working, and share it with the team.

What we are looking for

• 0–2 years of experience in pre-sales, telecalling, inside sales or customer support. Freshers with strong communication are welcome.

• Clear, confident and warm communication in English and Hindi, spoken and written. Additional regional languages are a big plus.

• Genuine empathy — you listen to what a parent is worried about before you talk about the product.

• The ability to ask sharp questions and qualify a need, rather than reading from a script.

• Comfort with numbers and targets, and the resilience to keep going in a high-performance environment.

• Strong multitasking and follow-through — you can hold 40+ conversations a day and still remember who needs a call back.

• A learning mindset. You should be able to understand our product well enough to speak to a parent about it within your first few days.

• Flexibility on working hours. Our parents are spread across 70+ countries, so some shifts include evenings or weekends.

• A graduate degree in any discipline.

Why join Codingal

• Uncapped incentives. Exceptionally high performance-linked rewards for top performers — your effort shows up in your payslip.

• Real, fast growth. We are scaling quickly and promote on performance, not tenure. Strong performers move into Business Development and then team leadership.

• Genuine sales training. You will learn structured discovery, objection handling and consultative selling — skills that stay with you for your whole career.

• Work that means something. Every trial class you book is a child who might discover they love building things. That is a good reason to pick up the phone.

• A young, sharp team. You will sit with people who are ambitious, collaborative and genuinely fun to work with, in our HSR Layout office.

• Y Combinator-backed. A globally recognised, well-funded EdTech company on your CV from day one.

Where this role can take you

We hire pre-sales associates as the start of a sales career, not a dead end. A typical strong performer moves along this path:

Pre-Sales Associate → Business Development Associate → Senior BDA / Relationship Manager → Team Lead

Movement is based purely on performance. We would much rather promote from inside the team.

Compensation and location

• Annual compensation: ₹3,60,000 – ₹4,20,000 per year, made up of a competitive fixed base plus a variable performance incentive. The final offer depends on your experience, communication skills and interview performance.

• Location: HSR Layout Sector 7, Bengaluru. This is an onsite role and cannot be done remotely.

• Interviews: Conducted at our Bengaluru office.

Our hiring process

• 1. Application review — we look at your CV and communication.

• 2. Telephonic screening — a short call to hear how you speak with people.

• 3. Interview at the HSR office — including a live mock call with a parent scenario.

• 4. Offer — we move fast and aim to close within a week.
