More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Key Account Manager at Modular Lighting in Spain (Islas Baleares, Valencia or Andalucía) with Signify.

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dynamic salesperson who has a love for design and an interest in technical aspects, and who is looking for a home-based role in Spain. Ideally, in one of the three locations previously mentioned.

In this role, we offer a fixed-term contract of 6 months, full-time, and you will report to the Sales leader EXPORT, who is based in Belgium.

At Modular Lighting Instruments, we redefine the boundaries of light with innovation, craftsmanship and a relentless pursuit of perfection. As leaders in the architectural lighting industry, we combine cutting-edge technology with timeless design to create lighting solutions that transform spaces and inspire creativity. Our commitment to quality and excellence is reflected in every product we create, each one a testament to our passion for innovation and design.

We believe in the power of light to influence mood, enhance environments and bring spaces to life. Our team of dedicated professionals works together to push the boundaries of what’s possible, delivering exceptional products that meet the needs of interior professionals and consumers worldwide.

As a KAM, you are responsible for attracting, captivating, and maintaining our prescribing audience in the area of Islas Baleares, Valencia or Andalucía in Spain.

In other words, in this role you are the creative partner in lighting design for our clients. Assist, guide, and inspire architects and designers, and visit and manage prescribers of our products: architects, interior architects, and partners, following up on your projects from advising on prescribing to delivery. On top of this, you follow new trends and market developments, and you’re someone in love with design, and you independently manage your network and work closely with the bigger team in Modular.

• Strategy Development | Re-develop our distribution network of value-added partners in the Mediterranean Sea area. Your daily audience is prescribers (architects and interior designers) who you nurture and support. Directly or by helping our partners who share the same objective and audience.

• Lead Generation | You will inspire and educate prescribers and partners with our products and services. You are a born communicator and feel at ease talking with people who love to shape and design their environment.

• Creating opportunities | Your instincts are to search for opportunities and use your potential correctly. Invest your time and energy in those projects where you know we can win. You love understanding all elements of a project and want to offer a creative light solution that is key to convince the audience and adapted to their needs.

• Stakeholder management | You understand that a project involves different stakeholders, and it is key to connect with all the decision-makers within a project.

More about you

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior design/architecture, lighting design, or account management.

• At least 3 years of working experience in a similar KAM role doing external Sales.

• Basic knowledge of architectural lighting with the ability to inspire as well as guide in technical topics. Experience in lighting is a plus; interest in technology and a love for design is a must.

• Having an active network among specifiers and product or market knowledge would be a big plus.

• You speak and write fluently in both Spanish and English.

• You are a born communicator and can adapt to different audiences, as you will be dealing directly with partners, installers and architects.

• You are driven, able to work independently, and a commercially strong person. Proactiveness and being able to manage your time autonomously is key for this role.

• Result-oriented with a positive attitude, a problem solver, and proactive are attributes that describe you.

• Team-player mentality. Learning from each other, inspiring people, and winning together is where you feel happy.

• You are located in Illes Balears, Valencian, Andalusia.
