Entrepreneur in Residence — Founder's Office (Internship, m/f/d)
Munich · Remote · Intern · Posted 14D AGO
€1.5K - €2.5K EUR
About the role
3–6 months · Starting ASAP · Munich preferred · Remote (EU) possible
## TL;DR
Work directly with the founders to build and scale a new product or business unit end-to-end at a YC-backed legal tech company. This is a high-ownership operator role for someone who wants to learn how new ventures are created inside a startup — from idea to launch to revenue.
## About Beglaubigt.de
Legal processes in Germany and Europe are still slow, fragmented, and deeply offline — notarizations, company formations, registrations, certified translations, business addresses, and more. Beglaubigt.de is rebuilding this infrastructure from the ground up: digital-first, API-ready, and designed to operate at internet speed. Backed by Y Combinator, we process thousands of cases per year and work with banks, platforms, and service providers across Europe.
## The Role
You will work directly with the founders to build and launch new products or business units inside the company. This is not a typical internship. It is a mini-venture builder role where you will own initiatives from concept to execution.
You will:
- Identify new product opportunities and business models
- Build initial go-to-market strategies
- Coordinate across product, operations, sales, and marketing
- Turn early traction into scalable business units
## What We Are Looking For — Top 1% Across Four Dimensions
- Analytical thinking — You break down markets, customer problems, and business models logically and turn insights into clear decisions.
- Execution speed — You move from idea to implementation quickly — testing, iterating, and improving constantly.
- Ownership mindset — You take responsibility for outcomes, not tasks. When something matters, you drive it forward until it works.
- Structured problem solving — You turn messy problems into clear plans, processes, and measurable results.
## Who Thrives Here
- You think like a builder, not just an analyst
- You enjoy taking ideas from 0 → 1
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration
- You care about measurable business outcomes
- You work independently and take initiative
- You communicate clearly and operate with high ownership
## Background
Strong candidates typically show one or more of the following:
- Background in business, economics, engineering, or related fields
- Experience with startups, venture building, consulting, or operations
- Experience working on new products or projects
- Evidence of initiative (projects, startups, leadership roles)
- Top university background (e.g., HSG, WHU, TUM, LMU) is a plus
## Requirements
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong analytical and structured thinking
- Ability to operate independently
## What You Get
- Direct exposure to founder-level decision making
- Hands-on experience building a real product or business unit
- High ownership and steep learning curve
- A high-performance environment
## Logistics
- Duration: 3–6 months
- Start: ASAP
- Location: Munich preferred, remote/hybrid in Europe possible
About the interview
Our hiring process is designed to be fast, respectful, and signal-driven. Expect ~2 weeks from first contact to offer.
1. Culture call (30 min) — Motivation, fit, and mutual expectations. You meet one of the founders or our Head of Ops. We care as much about how you operate as what you've done.
2. Case study (~3–5 hours) — A real problem we're working on. We want to see how you think, not how polished your deck is. You present your approach and findings in a 30-minute discussion.
3. Founder call (30 min) — Deep dive on your work, your ambitions, and our current bets. You meet one of the founders (Alex or Felix).
4. Trial day (paid, on-site or remote) — One working day inside the team. You ship something small and real. Both sides see if the chemistry and the craft fit.
5. Offer — Usually within 48 hours of the trial day.
We typically move from first call to offer within 10–14 days. Feedback after every stage, whether we move forward or not.
About Beglaubigt.de
Openlaw is building the legal backoffice for every company - built for founders today, agents tomorrow.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of European entrepreneurs still sign stacks of paper and wait weeks to start a company. We think that's absurd. Legal infrastructure was built for paper, we're rebuilding it in software.
We run three brands on one customer engine:
- Beglaubigt.de: Germany's leading platform to found, register and manage a company. GmbH/UG formations in ~7 days instead of 6-8 weeks.
- firma.de: the operating system for running a company - accounting, tax, business address and ongoing compliance.
- Registercheck.de: real-time Handelsregister data via API. Every company, every change.
Neobanks and fintechs like Qonto and Sevdesk plug into our Incorporation API to turn "start a business" into a one-click flow inside their own products. 30,000+ customers served so far.
We launched in 2024, joined YC in F24 and raised a $3.3M seed round led by Moonfire Ventures, with Zeno Ventures, YC and Jawed Karim (co-founder of YouTube) backing the vision.
We're ~30 people in Munich, working across product, engineering, sales, legal and operations. We move fast, ship weekly and take our craft seriously.
Our vision: a world where entrepreneurs never have to think about legal or tax again.
