Company Description

We’re Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day.

We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers.

Whether you want to book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription, or check out online, there’s a good chance our tech powers the payments behind the scenes. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale.

If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.

With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.

We’re looking for an experienced, event-led demand generation marketer to join our APAC team. Based in Australia, this role will lead the planning and delivery of high-impact events and integrated demand generation campaigns across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Reporting to the APAC Marketing Director, you will own the end-to-end execution of key marketing programmes—from event strategy and audience acquisition to on-site experiences, post-event follow-up and pipeline impact. You will bring events to life through compelling stories and tightly integrated campaigns across digital, content, paid media, ABM and commercial activation.

This is a hands-on role for a versatile marketer who is equally comfortable shaping a plan and rolling up their sleeves to deliver it. You will test, learn and optimise continuously, using data and insight to improve performance and scale what works.

Checkout.com is growing quickly, and so is our ambition in APAC. We need someone with a strong growth mindset—someone who is energised by change, comfortable operating with ambiguity, and able to create clarity, momentum and results in a fast-paced environment.

This is a six-month contractor role based in Sydney, with the potential to extend depending on business needs.

How you’ll make an impact

• Lead the planning and execution of regional events, including industry conferences, executive roundtables, customer events, partner activations and owned experiences.

• Build integrated event campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, qualified pipeline and revenue opportunities—from pre-event acquisition through post-event nurture and conversion.

• Drive demand generation across online and offline channels to achieve MQL and opportunity targets, always looking for ways to unlock incremental growth.

• Partner closely with Commercial teams in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore to align event and campaign priorities with market needs, target accounts and pipeline goals.

• Apply an ABM lens to priority events and campaigns, creating personalised experiences and follow-up journeys for key accounts and buyer groups.

• Identify, test and scale new growth opportunities, including new verticals, audiences, partnerships, event formats and paid or organic channels.

• Develop strong regional campaign messaging and creative copy, and help build local content assets—including case studies, white papers, blogs, thought-leadership articles and event materials.

• Support localised product marketing initiatives and ensure regional programmes reflect market needs.

• Measure programme performance rigorously, translating results into clear recommendations and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

• 4+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a strong track record in event marketing and demand generation.

• Experience managing events end to end, from strategy, planning and execution through to follow-up, measurement and reporting.

• A growth mindset: you are curious, commercially minded and always looking for smarter ways to create impact.

• Comfortable working through ambiguity and changing priorities; you can make sound decisions, bring structure to open-ended problems and keep work moving.

• Experience working in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment, with the resilience and adaptability to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage several workstreams, stakeholders and deadlines at once.

• Experience with Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms and CRM tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A natural storyteller who can turn market, customer and product insights into compelling messaging and experiences.

• Entrepreneurial, hands-on and proactive, with a strong “figure it out” mentality.

• Customer-obsessed, humble, curious and open to continuous learning.

• Collaborative and effective in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.
