About the team and the role:

An eBay subsidiary, TCGplayer is on a quest to be the most trusted trading card game (TCG) platform — connecting and empowering the hobby community.  Trading card games are a $25B global market that creates community connection through in-person games (Pokémon; Magic: The Gathering; Yu-Gi-Oh!; etc.). Founded by TCG enthusiasts, we operate a global marketplace, and create tools, technologies and solutions that help individuals and small businesses profitably sell TCGs at scale.

As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will apply your domain expertise and knowledge of UX best-practices to drive high-impact product improvements across our TCGplayer ecosystem including our mobile and desktop marketplace, seller tools and customer service representative workflows. You will join us as we explore emerging design-to-code workflows and AI-augmented design tools, helping to shape how we work. In this design role, you will partner with cross-functional peers to design and deliver user-centered solutions for both buyers and sellers.

Our User Experience Design team prides itself on creating a culture that fosters camaraderie, embraces diversity, and exudes passion. We value curiosity, craft, and a desire to directly interact with the real world. You don’t have to be a hobbyist or gamer to love working in TCGplayer’s UX Design organization, but you should be comfortable with ambiguity and eager to amplify our steadfast commitment to making hobbies and games accessible, fun, and rewarding for everyone. If you’re equal parts “empathy” and “ambition,” this is an opportunity to take risks and stretch yourself, surrounded by teammates who will support you along the way.
