About Golden Analytics

Golden Analytics is an AI-native BI platform built for data teams who are tired of the tradeoffs in today's tools -- the depth of self-service analytics tools without the rigidity, the accessibility of a modern design tool, and AI that actually augments how analysts work rather than getting in the way.

The Role

As a Security Engineer at Golden Analytics, you'll own critical security infrastructure at Golden, spanning detection, remediation and response. You’ll build systems and infrastructure to help us find security issues and prevent issue introduction, build reusable security-focused components to help the team deliver secure end-user functionality, and help drive security issues to closure. The ideal candidate will also help level-up engineers around them through education and advocacy. For this engineer, security is the job, and they help the rest of the team focus on it.

What We're Looking For

AI Zealots

You don't just use AI tools, you geek out over them. You’re all over coding agents and modern dev environments. You strive to learn, and encode that learning in ways today’s development systems can use. You have shipped AI-enabled solutions and have guided coding agents to help you move faster. You know the limits of this tech, but push it to help you do more.

Customer Obsessed

There's no barrier between you and our users. You have strong product sense and think like a founder. You understand that the best code is the code that delivers the most customer value, but that you can reliably maintain. You're comfortable jumping on customer calls, gathering feedback, and translating that directly into what you build.

Velocity Driven

You move fast. You learn fast. You ship fast. You understand that velocity is a feature. You're comfortable with iteration, learning from failures, and pivoting quickly. Perfect is the enemy of shipped. You write scalable code that you can stand behind, but you know when to optimize for delivery speed versus perfection.

Passionate Builders

You love what you do. There's fire in your belly for building something meaningful. You want to stand with pride next to what you build every day. You want to be on a mission and be part of something that transforms how people work with data.

What You'll Build

• Security scanning and detection infrastructure and systems
• Secure reusable components for product-focused engineers
• Education and best practices for a fast-moving team.

Requirements

• Strong history in security-focused roles on product teams. 3+ years of experience specifically in security detection and remediation.
• Strong full stack development experience - Vite, Node, TypeScript, React, Postgres, Vercel, Supabase (and more as we grow) - this is what you need to secure.
• Experience building with AI technologies (coding agents, etc.)
• Track record of securing customer-facing products
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration
