About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a General Ledger (GL) Finance Executive. You will play a key role in managing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. You will collaborate closely with various departments within the organization to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. 

What You'll Own

• General Ledger & Closings: Maintain and reconcile GL accounts to ensure data integrity; assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and preliminary management accounts.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze routine management reports to highlight key variances, operational trends, and potential process improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., AP, AR, Operations) to collect financial inputs, verify data, and resolve basic accounting queries.
• Audit Readiness: Assist with internal and external audit preparation by compiling schedules, organizing documentation, and addressing basic auditor inquiries.
• Technical Compliance: Monitor updates to accounting standards to support compliance and ensure standard operating procedures remain accurate.
• Peer Support: Serve as a reliable point of contact for accounting queries across cross-functional teams and support onboarding junior peers or interns.
• Process Improvement & AI: Actively identify workflow bottlenecks and leverage digital tools (including basic AI applications and system automations) to streamline daily tasks.

Essentials to Succeed

• Experience: 2–3+ years of proven General Ledger or accounting experience within a shared service center (SSC) or Big 4 audit environment.
• Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of core accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), end-to-end month-end close execution, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting accuracy.
• ERP & Systems Savvy: Hands-on proficiency with enterprise ERP systems and modern accounting tech stacks; direct experience with Oracle NetSuite is highly preferred.
• Digital Transformation: Proven track record of leveraging AI capabilities (e.g., automated reconciliations, prompt engineering for research, workflow automation) to streamline operations and eliminate manual friction.
• Global Scope: Demonstrated experience supporting complex, multi-entity, or cross-border regional finance operations.
• Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications (e.g., active ACCA status or part-qualified) are strong advantages.
