About Ortet

Ortet is a frontier AI lab for health. We imagine a future where everyone has access to affordable, precise, and better care.

Centered on individual patients, Ortet connects the biological, clinical, operational, and financial dimensions of care so intelligence continuously improves for every patient and delivers predictably better care.

Ortet is a founding-stage company in New York City, and we work in person. You will join as one of the first members of a small, high-impact team and build Ortet together with us.

About the role

Ortet is a founding-stage company in New York City, and we work in person. You will join as one of the first members of a small, high-impact team and build Ortet together with us.

The Executive & Office Assistant keeps Ortet running. You support the founding team and every member of Ortet, so they can focus on building. The scope spans calendars, travel, the office, events, vendors, and onboarding logistics. You will be one of the first people new members meet, and you will set the tone for how Ortet works day to day.

What you’ll do

• Manage calendars, meetings, and travel for the founding team

• Run the office: setup, vendors, supplies, visitors, and events

• Coordinate interviews and onboarding with the Head of Staff

• Handle requests from across the team quickly and reliably

• Find repeated tasks and automate them with AI tools

What we look for

Required:

• Sharp and organized, with the ability to handle many requests at once and own each one to the end

• A fast learner who adapts quickly as the company and its needs change

• Quick, clear communication in Slack and email

• Strong comfort with technology and AI tools, and the drive to learn new ones on your own

• A people person who builds good relationships across the whole team, and handles confidential matters with discretion

• Genuine enthusiasm for Ortet's mission and curiosity about the work of the team

Nice to have:

• Experience at a fast-growing startup or AI company

• Experience supporting several executives at once

• Experience with office setup or event planning in NYC

What we offer

Competitive salary and meaningful equity. Top-tier health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents, plus 401(k). The tools and trust to run things your way. And a front-row seat as Ortet grows into the AI lab that reshapes care.

Process

Our process adapts to each candidate. It typically includes conversations with the founding team and team members, a short practical exercise, and reference checks.

Ortet is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
