Morrison Foerster (“MoFo”) is seeking talented, ambitious first-year law students who value collaboration, teamwork, and commitment to excellence to join our 2027 and 2028 Summer Associate Programs in the Financial Services practice in either our New York or Washington, D.C. office.

The Summer Associate Experience

MoFo’s Summer Associate Program is built around three things: Impact, Innovation, and Investment.

Impact: You take on work that matters, the kind of assignments our junior associates receive. Working directly with our lawyers on substantive client matters, you will:

• Have an interest in financial services regulatory issues (e.g. payments, lending, digital assets, banking-as-a-service), transactions, and Fintech;

• Participate in drafting and negotiation sessions; and

• Support due diligence on financial services transactions.

Innovation: You’ll see the range of MoFo’s work up close, from representing leading technology and life sciences companies to cross-border deals and novel legal questions. Practice group presentations and substantive assignments give you a genuine feel for the full breadth of the firm.

Investment: We don’t just hire talent; we invest in it. From your first day, you’ll have real support: formal mentorship, hands-on training in practice-specific and professional skills, and firm and social events that connect you with lawyers and business professionals across the firm.
