We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are
You are a passionate engineering professional with a deep curiosity for solving complex thermal management challenges in electronics. With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a specialized focus on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), you thrive in environments where innovation meets real-world applications. Your experience with engineering simulation tools, especially Ansys products such as Fluent, Icepak, or Mechanical, sets you apart as a trusted subject matter expert. Your expertise is matched by your desire to collaborate closely with customers, understanding their unique design workflows, and translating their requirements into state-of-the-art simulation solutions. You are comfortable working independently as well as within multi-disciplinary teams and are adept at communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You are driven by a commitment to continuous learning, staying ahead of industry trends, and sharing your knowledge through training, presentations, and customer engagements. Your professional demeanor, business acumen, and strong organizational skills enable you to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You are excited by the prospect of influencing product development, supporting sales and marketing efforts, and making a tangible impact on both Synopsys and the broader electronics industry.

Your communication skills are second to none - whether delivering compelling presentations, leading engaging training sessions, or working cross-functionally with development teams, you know how to make technical concepts accessible and inspiring. Above all, you value collaboration and are eager to mentor others, share knowledge, and celebrate collective success.

What You'll Be Doing
 * Lead technical engagement throughout the sales cycle, from discovery calls and product demos to proof-of-concept evaluations with prospective customers
 * Work directly with customers to understand their electronics cooling challenges, design workflows, and simulation needs at the package, board, and system level
 * Deploy Ansys simulation solutions, integrating Fluent, Icepak, or Mechanical into customer design processes and ensuring they deliver real engineering value
 * Test new Ansys releases on real industrial thermal problems, document what works, and create application best practices that get used across the customer base
 * Partner with product development teams to translate customer feedback into feature requests, workflow improvements, and product roadmap priorities
 * Deliver training sessions and consulting engagements that help customers get more out of Ansys tools, whether onsite, remote, or at industry events
 * Author technical content for conferences, webinars, and marketing campaigns that position Synopsys as a leader in electronics thermal simulation

The Impact You Will Have
 * Accelerate customer adoption of Ansys simulation, directly contributing to revenue growth and long-term customer relationships
 * Enable engineers to solve thermal problems faster and more accurately, reducing product development cycles and preventing costly late-stage design failures
 * Shape the evolution of Ansys products by feeding real-world customer needs and use cases back into the development process
 * Build Synopsys' reputation as the go-to partner for electronics thermal management, strengthening our position in a competitive market
 * Help customers solve problems they could not solve before, creating loyalty and expanding the footprint of Synopsys solutions in their organizations
 * Mentor junior applications engineers and share expertise across the team, raising the technical bar for everyone
 * Represent Synopsys at industry events and conferences, contributing thought leadership that influences how the electronics industry approaches thermal simulation

What You'll Need
 * MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 6+ years in engineering software environments, or BS with 8+ years, or PhD with 3+ years (PhD with 7+ years preferred)
 * At least 4 years in application engineering, customer support, or consulting roles where you worked directly with customers using engineering software
 * Strong technical grounding in fluid mechanics, CFD, and thermodynamics with hands-on application in electronics thermal management
 * Proficiency with Ansys tools such as Fluent, Icepak, or Mechanical, or equivalent experience with CAE, CAD, EDA, or PLM platforms
 * Experience integrating simulation into customer workflows at the package, board, or system level, not just running isolated analyses
 * Experience with multiphysics simulation approaches like electro-thermal or thermo-mechanical coupling is a strong plus

Who You Are
 * Logical problem-solver with strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English (written and spoken).
 * Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
 * Business-savvy and professional, projecting confidence and credibility in all interactions.
 * Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and is willing to mentor others.
 * Professional, driven to succeed, and results-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement within a fast-paced, innovative company

The Team You'll Be Part Of
You will join the Ansys Customer Excellence team, a diverse group of talented engineers and technical specialists dedicated to empowering customers and advancing simulation-driven innovation. The team emphasizes a collaborative culture, sharing expertise, continuously learning and delivering exceptional service across a wide range of industries, with a special focus on electronics thermal management. Together, you will solve complex challenges, drive product advancement, and make a measurable impact on the future of electronic design.
