You understand that when a customer's tape-out is at risk because PrimeTime is flagging timing violations they don't understand, your job is not just to answer the ticket but to actually figure out what went wrong and help them move forward. You think in workflows, not just commands. You know that a good debug session starts with the right questions, not the first log file someone sends over.

You do not need to know everything on day one. What matters more is that you ask smart questions, follow the thread until it makes sense, and communicate what you learn clearly enough that a customer in another time zone can act on it. At Synopsys, you will work with EDA tools that power the world's most advanced chips, and the support you provide will directly affect whether those designs succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide technical support for customers using PrimeTime, PrimeClosure, Tweaker, STARRC, Nanotime, and Primelib, diagnosing issues and guiding them toward resolution
• Take ownership of tool migrations and validation across release versions, identifying differences and ensuring smooth transitions for customer designs
• Debug design-level issues involving Static Timing Analysis, power analysis, and RC extraction, working with customers to isolate root causes
• Collaborate with Application Engineers globally and R&D teams to escalate complex cases, share findings, and contribute to tool improvements
• Build and maintain scripts in Tcl, Python, Perl, or Cshell to automate workflows, validate results, and improve support efficiency
• Support tape-out designs by responding to urgent issues, verifying tool behavior, and ensuring customers can meet their deadlines

What You'll Need

• Basic understanding of Static Timing Analysis (STA), power analysis, RC extraction, and VLSI design flow concepts
• Practical experience using Linux and comfort navigating the command line for daily work
• Scripting skills in at least one of the following: Tcl, Python, Perl, or Cshell
• Logical thinking and problem-solving ability, you can take a vague issue report and work backward to find the real cause
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for working with customers and internal teams across regions
• Willingness to learn new tools, features, and workflows, including AI-assisted tools as they become part of the support ecosystem

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will join the EDA Design and Sign-off Applications Engineering team in Ho Chi Minh, focused on providing technical support for tools like PrimeTime, PrimeClosure, STARRC, Nanotime, and Primelib. The team works closely with customers to resolve issues, validate tool releases, and support tape-out designs. You will collaborate with Application Engineers and R&D teams globally, contributing to both customer success and tool development. The role is fully onsite at the VN07 office.
