Zus Health is a platform company on a mission to steward the migration of healthcare from silos and monopolies to more effective, precise care that is based on a complete, real time understanding of patients. As we move from a small number of imprecise drugs and a small number of generic “everything care” health systems to a large number of highly targeted, digital-first care delivery organizations, we must also accommodate a migration to targeted software workflows. Zus has built the picks and shovels for the migration. A national API first MPI and common patient record, the fastest and most complete data network in the nation, and a growing library of data automations and transformations that increase the profitability of provider patient centered care. Founded in 2021 by Jonathan Bush, co-founder and former CEO of athenahealth, Zus partners with healthcare's greatest inventors -- payers and providers of all kinds -- by maximizing the value of true patient insight.

 

What we’re looking for...

We are looking for an eager software engineering co-op to help build the next generation of healthtech tools. This co-op will be part of the Data Acquisition team. This team is responsible for collecting health data from a broad range of internal and external sources and making that data useful for users of the Zus platform. The engineer joining this team will help build software that transforms, validates, and enriches data retrieved from healthcare data networks. The ideal candidate will be excited to take on the challenge of unifying diverse health care data sources to bring a clear picture of patient needs to our customers in ways that the developers of said data sources never thought or cared about.

 

You will work on data pipelines that operate on large scale data using a variety of AWS services ( Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc). Go is our language of choice, although we also have some components written in Python. The team is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and operating its pipelines and services.
