Senior Account Manager – Consumer Beauty, Health & Wellness

• Agency: Wilson Hartnell (Part of the Global Ogilvy & WPP Network)
• Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)
• Role Level: Senior Account Manager (SAM)
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in PR / Communications (Agency experience essential)

At Wilson Hartnell, part of the global Ogilvy & WPP network, we blend earned media, social execution, creator strategy and creative storytelling to deliver impactful, culturally resonant communications for world-class brands.

We are looking for a strategic, commercially savvy and trend-obsessed Senior Account Manager to join our dedicated Consumer Health & Wellness team. In this pivotal role, you will lead day-to-day accounts for Ireland’s flagship beauty, wellness and healthcare retail brands, acting as a key client counsellor and driving creative excellence across the team.

If you bring a blend of strategic foresight, creative ambition, strong team-leadership skills and a genuine passion for the beauty and lifestyle space, this role offers the perfect platform to expand your leadership career on a global stage.

What You Will Do

As a Senior Account Manager, you will operate with high independence, acting as the primary trusted contact for clients and leading integrated campaigns from strategy through execution. You will also have the opportunity to “act up” alongside Account Directors and contribute to business growth.

• Lead Client Relationships: Serve as the day-to-day lead client contact, providing trusted counsel, strategic direction and proactive problem-solving across iconic retail and wellness accounts.
• Drive Strategic & Creative Ideation: Master campaign development—translating beauty, wellness and cultural trends into high-impact earned media, creator-led programs and experiential activations.
• Oversee Creator & Influencer Strategy: Direct end-to-end influencer and creator strategies, ensuring high-value partnerships that elevate brand equity and deliver measurable ROI.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise, mentor and delegate effectively to team members, fostering their growth while managing team workflows and project deliverables.
• Budget & Account Management: Take ownership of account health—managing project budgets, billing processes and resource allocation to ensure optimal delivery and commercial efficiency.
• Support Crisis & Issues Management: Anticipate risks, assist senior leadership with issue mitigation and ensure preparedness (holding statements, Q&As, crisis protocols).
• Champion Measurement & AI Innovation: Lead campaign reporting and evaluation frameworks using advanced metrics; harness WPP’s proprietary AI tools to streamline workflows, research and trend forecasting.
• Contribute to Business Development: Identify organic growth opportunities within existing accounts and play an active role in pitch development and presentations for prospective clients.

What You Will Bring

• Proven Agency Experience: 4+ years of PR/communications experience, ideally within a fast-paced agency managing consumer, beauty, retail or health & wellness accounts.
• Strategic Acumen & Leadership: A demonstrated track record of managing complex client programs independently, with the confidence to "act up" for Account Directors when required.
• Beauty, Wellness & Creator Fluency: A deep understanding of Ireland’s media and digital creator landscape, with an intuitive pulse on trending culture across TikTok, Instagram and beyond.
• People Management Skills: Experience coaching and delegating to junior colleagues, with an encouraging, collaborative leadership style.
• Exceptional Communication & Copywriting: Flawless writing and editing skills—capable of shaping everything from strategic client proposals to hard-hitting press materials and holding statements.
• Commercial & Financial Savvy: Comfortable managing budgets, scopes of work, billing reconciliation and team resourcing.
• Cool Under Pressure: Strong judgment, proactive problem-solving abilities and composure when navigating fast-moving situations or client issues.

Why Join Wilson Hartnell?

• Industry Leadership & Global Backing: Drive flagship accounts with full access to Ogilvy and WPP global training, mobility and toolkits.
• Cutting-Edge AI Integration: Work with world-class, proprietary AI technologies that supercharge your creative ideation and campaign efficiency.
• Clear Career Trajectory: Thrive in a supportive environment with defined pathways to progress toward Account Director.
• High-Impact Work: Shape high-profile, culturally relevant campaigns that directly influence consumer behaviour in health, wellness and beauty.
• Modern, Flexible Culture: Benefit from a collaborative, hybrid working model that champions flexibility, creativity and wellbeing.
