We’re on the lookout for an ambitious Working Student Legal, Data Privacy to join our Legal at our office in Hamburg or Berlin. Join us in building the largest AI enabled fintech for healthcare!

What to expect in the role as Working Student Legal, Data Privacy:

About Nelly

We are building the AI-Driven Financial Operating System for European healthcare, solving the biggest challenges for patients and practices. We create what no bank or software platform can handle. Our all-in-one platform transforms chaotic administrative processes into intelligent, automated workflows, from patient care to billing to next-generation payments. Because we truly believe: healthcare should be less about paperwork and more about people.

Why? Because Europe is facing a massive shortage of medical professionals. And if we don't rethink the way practices work, the system won't be able to keep up. With our Series B funding of over €50 million from world-class investors, we are turning our vision into reality.

What sets us apart: We work with the best team, which is why we give everything together every day. We believe in Talent Density, because exceptional people make everyone around them better. At Nelly, we move fast and expect everyone to keep up. Stagnation isn’t an option, which is why we invest heavily in growth. AI is an essential part of how we work at Nelly. We expect you to use it every day and give you everything you need to do so. You get trust and ownership and we expect you to speak up, even when it's uncomfortable.

Joining us, you will:

• Own the data subject request process end-to-end, from monitoring incoming requests to tracking deadlines and sending replies using our standard templates

• Work directly with experienced Data Privacy lawyers and teams across Nelly, our customers, and our partner to resolve more complex cases

• Shape how this process scales as Nelly grows, spotting bottlenecks and driving the improvements (including AI and API integrations) that cut response times

What you'll bring:

• You're currently studying law with an interest in data privacy or tech-related legal topics

• You take ownership: once a request lands in your queue, you see it through rather than waiting to be told what's next

• You're organized and detail-oriented, juggling multiple requests and deadlines at once doesn't stress you out, it's exactly the kind of structure you're good at bringing

• You're reliable and follow through, since teams across Nelly and our practices depend on requests being handled on time

• You're proactive about reaching out, comfortable finding and pinging the right person in Legal, Customer Success, or elsewhere in the company to get what you need to close out a case

• You're fluent in German and English

• Prior exposure to Data Privacy is a nice-to-have, not a must

Our Interview Process:

1. Intro Interview with our Talent team

2. Hiring Manager Call with Anna, Senior Legal Counsel

3. Final Round, On-site with Anna and Tobias (General Counsel)
