About Crossmint

Global financial rails are undergoing a once-in-a-generation transformation. Instant settlement. Programmable. Agent-first. Crossmint is the infrastructure helping companies build for that future.

We are the leading all-in-one stablecoin and wallet infrastructure platform, enabling fintechs, enterprises, and agentic platforms to integrate stablecoin rails with speed, compliance, and scale. Crossmint provides everything enterprises need to ship smart financial rails, including smart wallets, cross-chain stablecoin orchestration, on/offramps, token checkout, and more, all through a single developer-friendly API.

Trusted by more than 40,000 clients including global leaders like MoneyGram, Western Union, and Paga to nation states like the Marshall Islands, Crossmint powers stablecoin flows that move billions from cross-border remittances, global payroll, to the world's first digital UBI program.

MiCA-authorized, PSD2-licensed, and SOC2 Type II certified, Crossmint serves 150+ countries globally across 50+ blockchains. Backed by Ribbit Capital, Franklin Templeton, NYCA, First Round, and Lightspeed Faction.

About The Role

Wallets sit at the center of everything Crossmint does. Every stablecoin payment, payout, and agentic transaction our clients run goes through our smart-wallet stack, which today spans EVM, Solana, and Stellar and serves enterprises like MoneyGram, OpenSea, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

As Engineering Lead for Wallets, you'll own the technical direction of that infrastructure end to end. You'll set the roadmap, make the key architectural calls, and lead a team of six engineers while continuing to write and ship production code yourself.

You'll work closely with Product, GTM, and Customer Success Engineering to turn enterprise requirements into on-chain primitives, and you'll represent the team in conversations with partners and vendors. This is a hands-on leadership role based in our New York office.

What You Will Do

• Serving as Engineering Lead for the Wallets team, owning the full technical roadmap and strategy for Crossmint's programmable smart-wallet infrastructure across EVM, Solana, and Stellar blockchains.

• Driving end-to-end architectural design and delivery of on-chain wallet primitives including smart-contract signers, recovery signers, delegated signer scopes/permissions, gas sponsorship, wallet creation billing, device signers, and multi-chain transaction orchestration via Temporal distributed workflows.

• Leading the technical direction for wallet products serving enterprise clients such as MoneyGram, Marshall Islands (UBI program), OpenSea, and Robinhood Chain, as well as agentic-payments customers integrating Crossmint's wallet stack with Mastercard, Cloudflare, and AWS Agent Core Payments.

• Coordinating directly with the GTM, CSE, and Product teams to align wallet roadmap priorities with commercial requirements, including defining differentiation positioning around on-chain programmability, no-vendor-lock-in architecture, and enterprise-grade stablecoin product integration.

• Establishing and enforcing engineering best practices for the team: code quality standards, PR review guidelines, AI-assisted development workflows using Devin, structured sprint planning, retro action items, and technical documentation.

• Setting up and maintaining observability infrastructure including Datadog dashboards for endpoint success rates, latency, and transaction throughput across all wallet-related services.

• Managing a team of 6 direct reports across seniority levels (2 senior contractors, 2 senior engineers, 2 mid-level engineers), overseeing onboarding, performance coaching, and technical mentoring.

• Representing the wallets team in cross-functional planning, product status updates, architectural reviews, and external vendor/partner technical calls (Temporal, ZeroDev, Phala, Alchemy, Rain).

• Actively contributing production code: designing and merging complex PRs spanning wallet signer authorization, EVM UserOperation bundler flows, Solana fee estimation, Stellar V2 smart contract infrastructure, card-collateral topup workflows, and SDK bug fixes across web and mobile (React Native, Expo, Kotlin, Flutter).

Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day/week.

What We Are Looking For

Must-haves

Crossmint will accept three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a Full-Stack Engineer or Engineering Lead-related occupation.

Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:

• TypeScript: designing scalable, production-grade full-stack applications and decentralized wallet interfaces, including high-performance React integrations.

• Developing resilient backend services using NestJS, distributed task orchestration via Temporal workers, blockchain data processing, and real-time event handling.

• Building, auditing, and deploying Solidity and Stellar/Soroban smart contracts in production environments, ensuring compliance with security standards and gas-optimization best practices (including Halborn/Latacora audit remediation).

• Designing and maintaining multi-chain blockchain infrastructure components across EVM (Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base), Solana, and Stellar: smart-contract factories, event indexers, webhook pipelines, and on-chain/off-chain data systems.

• Designing and deploying monitoring, observability, and fault-tolerant solutions using Datadog and Temporal to ensure system resilience and high throughput at scale.

• Leading and mentoring engineering teams including conducting technical interviews, defining best-practice standards, and driving code quality through structured review processes.

• Managing distributed AI-assisted engineering workflows (Devin) to accelerate delivery while maintaining architecture integrity and code quality.

Why Join Crossmint?

• Build regulated infrastructure at scale. We're one of the few stablecoin infrastructure providers licensed under MiCA across all 27 EU member states, and the wallets you build will move real money for global enterprises.

• Work on products with real-world impact. Our stack powers MoneyGram's stablecoin cross-border experience in LATAM and the Marshall Islands' national digital UBI program.

• Own what you build. We're a team of around 80 people, so your technical decisions shape the product directly, with no layers between you and the people using it.

• Stay at the frontier. You'll work on agentic payments with partners like Mastercard, Cloudflare, and AWS, along with multichain infrastructure across EVM, Solana, and Stellar.

• Join a global team. We have offices in New York, Miami, Madrid, and Buenos Aires, and we're backed by Ribbit Capital, Franklin Templeton, NYCA, First Round, and Lightspeed Faction.

Benefits

• Extensive access to leading AI tools and subscriptions, with AI actively encouraged and integrated into daily workflows.

• Unlimited, flexible PTO.

• Parental Leave program.

• Flexible work schedule.

• Company laptop and allowance for any necessary home equipment.

• Daily stipend for commuting to the office and/or meals.

• Two company-paid off-sites each year.

• Health, dental, vision, life, short-term disability (STD), and long-term disability (LTD) insurances.

• 401(k) Plan.

Our Principles

• Results and delivery: Ship high quality work fast.

• Build for the long term: Build scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. Use AI.
