Software Development Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking a motivated Software Development Engineer to join our engineering team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career software engineer to develop expertise in embedded software development, networking technologies, and telecommunications systems.

Working within an Agile Scrum environment, the role will contribute to the design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software solutions. Software Development Engineer will collaborate closely with experienced engineers across software, hardware, RF, systems, and signal processing disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in software requirements analysis and software design activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop and maintain software using C/C++ and other relevant programming languages.
• Perform software integration, debugging, and testing activities.
• Create and maintain software documentation, design descriptions, and test reports.
• Support the development of software test specifications and automated test solutions.
• Investigate and resolve software defects and issues.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from peers and senior engineers.
• Apply software quality assurance processes and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the software development team.
• Support software maintenance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Qualifications & Competencies:

Required:

• Finished at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of software development experience, including internships, university projects, or professional experience.
• Basic knowledge of C or C++ programming.
• Understanding of fundamental software development concepts and practices.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly in spoken and written English.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to support software development, testing, debugging, and documentation activities.
• Exposure to embedded software development, telecommunications, networking, or wireless communication systems through academic projects, internships, or personal projects.
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
• Exposure to Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and communication protocols
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a collaborative environment.
