Money is fundamental to how people and businesses operate, but it often sits outside the software they use every day. Unit changes that. Unit is a financial infrastructure platform that enables technology companies to store, move, spend, and lend money inside their product.

Unit processes over $100B in annual transaction volume, serves 2M+ accounts, and handles 11M+ API calls daily for category-defining companies including Wix, Highbeam, Wayflyer and Relay.

Today, leading technology companies use Unit to create smarter money experiences, deepen customer relationships, and unlock new revenue. We’re building the infrastructure that will make financial products a native part of software, and we’re looking for people who want to help shape what comes next.

We’ve raised $160m+ from top investors including Insight Partners and Accel, and 60+ angels. We are proud to be recognized on CNBC World's Top Fintech Companies.

We’re hiring a GTM Lead (Bay Area) to establish and scale Unit’s presence in the region at a critical stage of growth.

This is a senior, hands-on market-building role combining strategic sales execution with ecosystem development. You will generate and advance strategic opportunities, own complex consultative deals, and convert them into long-term commercial partnerships.

You’ll build relationships with founders, executives, and investors across the SaaS vertical and fintech ecosystem while representing Unit as a trusted partner in the Bay Area market.

This is a revenue-generating role focused on closing strategic accounts and driving revenue growth.

You will report directly to the Head of GTM, operating with autonomy while helping shape Unit’s go-to-market presence in the region as we scale.

This role is based in San Francisco and requires a strong in-person presence across the Bay Area.

• Own the full commercial lifecycle across complex, consultative deals, from discovery and solution design through negotiation and close. This role focuses primarily on advancing strategic opportunities, including enterprise accounts.

• Drive pipeline creation and revenue execution by leveraging your network and acting as a trusted advisor to founders, investors, and partners in the fintech and vertical SaaS ecosystem.

• Represent Unit in the market through ecosystem engagement, founder conversations, partner sessions, and key industry events.

• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing and Product to develop demand generation strategies and translate market insights into product direction.

• Design and iterate on the sales process and GTM playbook, shaping messaging, qualification criteria, and pipeline development.

We are open to candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds.

• 6+ years of experience in a customer-facing or ecosystem-facing role. Relevant backgrounds may include startup Ex-founders, venture capital, strategy & management consulting, partnerships, or B2B sales/GTM operator.

• Experience in management or strategy consulting is also highly valued. Backgrounds from firms such as BCG, McKinsey, Bain, or similar consulting practices with fintech exposure are a plus.

• Strong relationships across the Bay Area startup and VC ecosystem, with the ability to generate opportunities through network-driven introductions.

• Commercial instincts and a clear interest in owning revenue outcomes and closing complex, consultative deals.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

• Comfort leveraging AI tools to accelerate pipeline research, personalize outreach, synthesize market insights, and improve deal execution — with a mindset toward continuously integrating new capabilities into your workflow.

• Deep curiosity about fintech and excitement about how infrastructure businesses can reshape industries.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently, build new sales motions from scratch, and represent Unit externally at the highest level.
