Focus: Organic Content Strategy, Meta Ads, Google Ads & AI Automation

About Zoca

We’re an AI-first company looking for a Social Media Strategist who understands how to attract and engage US audiences for local salon and medspa businesses.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop organic content strategies across Reels, static posts, and carousels that make the right audience stop scrolling, engage, and visit our clients’ profiles. You should also understand how to turn that attention into inquiries and meaningful conversations with potential customers.
AI will be central to how you work. We expect you to actively use AI tools and AI agents to improve research, content planning, analysis, and execution. You’ll identify opportunities for automation while maintaining the quality, originality, and relevance of your work. You remain responsible for the accuracy and quality of everything delivered.
You’ll collaborate with designers, video editors, and a technical builder to turn repeatable parts of your strategy into AI-powered workflows. You’ll also manage Meta Ads and Google Ads for clients who use paid advertising.

What you’ll do

• Build tailored organic social media strategies based on each client’s services, brand, location, audience, and business goals.
• Research local audience segments, competitors, trends, and customer behavior to identify content opportunities relevant to US salon and medspa customers.
• Develop content calendars, Reel concepts and scripts, static post ideas, and carousel outlines with clear hooks, messaging, and calls to action.
• Create briefs that give designers and video editors clear direction, and review their work for alignment with the strategy.
• Plan content that attracts relevant local audiences, builds trust, encourages profile visits, and creates opportunities for inquiries.
• Review content performance, test new ideas, and use findings to improve future content.
• Use AI tools and AI agents in your daily work to support research, ideation, copywriting, reporting, and analysis.
• Proactively identify repetitive tasks and find ways to make your work more efficient through AI and automation without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with a technical builder to document your decision-making and turn successful processes into reusable templates, AI agent workflows, and automated systems.
• Test and refine AI-generated outputs, checking accuracy, brand voice, local relevance, and creative quality before delivery.
• Plan, launch, manage, and optimize Meta Ads and Google Ads, including targeting, creative direction, budgets, conversion tracking, and performance reporting.
• Join client calls when to understand their business, explain strategy, discuss results, and gather feedback.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience developing social media strategies, with a portfolio showing your strategic contribution and the results it produced.
• A good hands-on experience in researching several groups of audience based on locality to deliver best engaging content
• Strong understanding of Reels, static posts, and carousels, including hooks, storytelling, audience intent, and calls to action.
• The ability to adapt trends to a client’s brand and local market.
• Strong copywriting skills and a feel for language that sounds natural to US consumers.
• Hands-on experience managing Meta Ads and Google Ads, with an understanding of conversion tracking, lead quality, and campaign optimization.
• Practical experience using AI tools in content or marketing workflows, with the ability to explain how they improved your work.
• An interest in experimenting with AI agents and automation, learning new tools, and continuously improving how you work.
• Strong editorial judgment: you can spot generic, inaccurate, or off-brand AI outputs and improve them before they reach a client.
• The ability to translate creative judgment into clear processes, templates, and instructions that a technical builder can implement.
• Confidence interpreting performance data, recommending next steps, and discussing strategy directly with clients.

What success looks like
Your strategies consistently improve relevant audience reach, engagement, and profile visits, with inquiries and booking conversations as additional indicators of business impact. Paid campaigns deliver against agreed client goals, including lead quality and cost per lead.
Your use of AI and automation reduces repetitive work and improves execution while preserving client-specific thinking and creative quality.

Client-facing scope
This role includes client conversations where strategic expertise is needed. It is not an account manager position; routine follow-ups and day-to-day client coordination sit outside the role.
