As consumer discovery rapidly evolves, the way customers find, evaluate and choose products is changing. AI-powered search, LLMs, agentic experiences, content ecosystems and emerging platforms are reshaping the customer journey and creating new opportunities to influence consideration and drive acquisition. The Director, Emerging Platforms & Content Strategy will build Amex’s next content-led acquisition engine—using customer insight and AI to determine what content we need, transform how we create and improve it, and activate it across owned and third-party ecosystems to help more prospects understand, value and choose Amex. This role will set the strategic agenda, build new capabilities and connect efforts across the Prospect ecosystem to accelerate growth. This is an ideal opportunity for a transformational marketing leader who thrives in ambiguity, builds new capabilities from the ground up and is excited to shape the future of performance marketing.

• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, making clear strategic choices where established playbooks do not yet exist.
• A strong cross functional leader who can influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, establish shared priorities and mobilize teams across complex organizations.
• A strong people leader and communicator who can move seamlessly between long-term vision, practical execution and executive-level decision making.
