Company Description

Te Tākinatanga | Our Story
At Contact, we believe home is the most important place in the world. That belief shapes everything we do, from leading the energy transition to how we power Aotearoa and care for our people and communities.

We’re a power, broadband, and mobile company, but we’re also investing boldly in renewable energy and smarter, more connected ways of working (mahi). Our ambition is simple: to leave Aotearoa better than we found it.

Guided by our values & behaviours, we’re a team who care deeply about the work we do, how we support one another, and the impact we have. Simply put, we touch lives to make life better.

As Contact continues to invest in New Zealand's energy future, our Trading group plays an important role in understanding, analysing, and responding to an evolving energy market.

Joining our Market Development & Optimisation team in a 12-month fixed-term contract, you'll support a range of analytical and commercial activities across the Trading group. From pricing energy agreements and expanding reporting coverage through to supporting channel management strategy and improving processes, you'll gain exposure to work that helps inform commercial and trading decisions across the business.

If you've already built a foundation in analysis and are looking to broaden your experience, strengthen your commercial understanding, and build industry knowledge in a unique and evolving sector, this could be a great next step. You'll get a front-row seat to how data, markets, and commercial decision-making come together.
