Company Overview
Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With tens of millions of customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.
Job Overview
As part of our FP&A team, you will play a key role in driving financial insights, shaping strategy, and supporting the long-term health of our platform. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver clear, data-driven recommendations that help drive high-impact retention and member activation.
This high-visibility Finance role is designed for a technically strong professional who excels at bridging financial modeling with hands-on data exploration to uncover strategic insights. Positioned at the intersection of Finance and Data, you will blend FP&A rigor with analytics to directly influence lifecycle strategy and drive member engagement.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
Own the financial reporting, forecasting, and planning for core engagement metrics (DAU, MAU, and retention cohorts) to ensure business stability and predictability
Partner with Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, and Revenue teams to refine data models, metric definitions, and the scalability of lifecycle reporting
Optimize the balance between user engagement and platform monetization, ensuring that product health translates into sustainable financial growth
Develop real-time ML-driven forecasts based on granular user behaviors and propensity models to increase the precision of long-range planning
Develop and track complex cohort-based models to identify opportunities in the member journey and quantify the long-term value of improved retention
Build and maintain complex models to evaluate the ROI of retention initiatives, member reactivation campaigns, and product features designed to deepen user habituation
Serve as an AI adoption champion across the Finance organization, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools to automate and scale reporting
Write and execute your own SQL queries, owning data validation, metric definitions, and the integrity of underlying datasets
Analyze trends across member funnels and unit economics, translating granular data into high-level strategic insights for senior leaders
Act as the financial source of truth for Product, Marketing, and Analytics teams, ensuring alignment on key metrics and roadmap decisions, while proactively collaborating across functions and influencing stakeholders without direct authority to drive data-informed outcomes
Improve the accuracy of forecasting by identifying emerging risks/opportunities in member behavior and building scalable, automated data workflows
What we would like to see:
Experience building forecasting frameworks that incorporate cohort-based retention, churn logic, and activation velocity
Experience in leveraging ML-driven models (e.g., churn propensity, LTV predictions) to inform forecasting and lifecycle strategy
A proven ability to dive into a dataset out of pure curiosity, but the discipline to only present the insights that actually drive business impact
High proficiency in SQL, GSuite/Excel, and data tools (Databricks, Qlik, Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Experience with advanced AI forecasting tools (e.g., Cursor, Jupyter)
Ability to synthesize data, structure a concise presentation of findings, and articulate recommendations to a range of stakeholders
Ability to be resourceful and creative in problem solving when necessary to move projects forward tactically
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or product analytics, ideally within a tech company; for candidates with Data Science backgrounds, a proven track record of applying those skills to solve Finance and Monetization problems is required
- You should be comfortable independently navigating complex SQL schemas and using data to answer open-ended business questions without predefined reporting
- You take pride in the integrity of your models and the accuracy of your outputs
