About Hubble

Hubble builds AI-native infrastructure for medical record retrieval. Health systems, legal teams, life sciences companies, and insurers all need patient records out of EHRs and other systems of record. Today that process is manual, slow, and runs through fax machines and phone calls. We're automating it end to end: connecting directly into EHRs where we can, and building AI agents (voice, browser, and otherwise) that do the retrieval work where we can't.

We're small, early, and moving fast. We have raised from YC, Basis Set, Madrona, Founders Co-Op, Zeno and strategic angels who are leaders at Grow Therapy, Elise AI, Scale AI & Perplexity and projecting seven figures in revenue in year one.

The role

We're looking for our founding engineer. You'll own core systems across the company, shape the engineering culture, and make product and architecture decisions that will change the trajectory of the company.

This is a high-agency role. We're looking for someone who can tackle ambiguous problems, take calculated risks, and iterate quickly.

What you'll do

• Design and build the backend systems that power patient record retrieval: EHR/API integrations, data pipelines, and the orchestration layer connecting our AI agents to real-world systems (fax, phone, portals)
• Make foundational architecture decisions that the company will run on for years
• Ship directly to production and work directly with enterprise customers
• Build solutions in a regulated space where (PHI, HIPAA, TEFCA) and build with rigor from day one
• Move across the stack when needed. This is a small team and the work doesn't respect job titles

What we're looking for

• Strong backend engineering fundamentals. You've built and shipped production products end-to-end
• High agency: you've either founded something, been an early engineer somewhere, or otherwise have a track record of owning ambiguous problems without a lot of oversight
• Based in Seattle or willing to relocate. We work in person
• Bonus: experience with EHR systems, healthcare data interoperability or informatics, or AI agent/automation systems, experience in other regulated industries

• Aaron and Prabha have known each other for over a decade, this is their second time working on a venture together (first one was a nonprofit empowering women entrepreneurs).
• Aaron was one of the early engineers at Amazon Health and the tech lead for 50+ engineers at Amazon One Medical, shipping their first production AI agents. He enjoys cooking, trying new cuisines and powerlifting
• Prabha was the first PM at Grow Therapy scaling it to $3B valuation. I enjoy walking my dog, doing wheel pottery, and doing Indian classical dancing.

At Hubble, we’re building infrastructure for a more complete patient medical record. Healthcare data is scattered across disconnected systems, and APIs alone don’t reach all of it. We pair API integrations with AI agents that navigate healthcare workflows to bring those fragmented records together, starting with legal and insurance customers.

Our founders previously built AI clinical tools at Grow Therapy and healthcare infrastructure at Amazon One Medical. We’re building our team in Seattle, where you’ll work directly with the founders, tackle hard problems across data infrastructure and AI agents, and shape the product from the beginning.
