About the role

Young, hungry, and want to get into AI sales in San Francisco?

Join Vesence and work directly with the founders to turn thoughtful outreach into real opportunities, and help shape how we win customers.

About Vesence

Vesence is building an AI platform for High-Stakes Work. Already used at law firms, banks, investment funds and enterprises - where the details matters most.

We’re backed by Y Combinator, Emergence and 20VC, with angel investors including Y Combinator founder Paul Graham and Lovable founder Anton Osika.

About the role

We’re hiring a Founding BDR to help build sales pipeline, working in person in San Francisco and reporting directly to the founder.

Your challenge is to connect with as many relevant prospects as possible, understand the problems they face in their day-to-day work, and show how the Vesence platform can help. You’ll combine high-volume outreach with genuine curiosity, turning conversations into qualified opportunities.

What you’ll do

• Research target accounts and identify relevant decision-makers.
• Run personalized outreach through email, phone and LinkedIn.
• Qualify opportunities and arrange meetings with the founder.
• Maintain clear CRM records and follow up consistently.
• Test messaging and share prospect feedback with the team.
• Learn to connect Vesence’s capabilities to concrete workflows: reviewing a contract, checking a financial model or preparing a client presentation.

What we’re looking for

• Hunger and dedication to win.
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco.
• Clear writing, thoughtful research, and confidence on the phone.
• Experience as an outbound SDR or BDR in B2B software is a plus.
• Curiosity about how professional firms evaluate AI: what makes a demonstration compelling, what creates trust, and what prevents adoption.

What we offer

• San Francisco based: Work in person from our SF office, directly with the founder and team.
• Top-tier colleagues: Work alongside AI engineers, management consultants, lawyers, professional athletes and professional music producers, a team of top 1% performers from all walks of life.
• Impact from day 1: Help shape how we reach customers and build our sales pipeline. Your conversations and insights will inform our targeting, messaging and approach, not just fill an activity report.
• Learning opportunities: Build your skills in AI sales through hands-on outreach, customer conversations and working closely with the founder. Learn to connect a broad platform to the problems that matter most to each customer.
• A product with proof: Vesence is used at law firms, banks, investment funds, and enterprises already today.
• Compensation:
  • Base salary: $80,000
  • Target variable: $40,000
  • On-target earnings: $120,000
  • Equity grant with meaningful ownership

About the interview

• Founder conversation 30 minutes: We'll discuss your outbound experience, how you learn a market, and what excites you about Vesence.
• Outbound exercise 30 minutes: Walk us through how you would research and contact potential customers.
• Paid work trial one day: Work on a real GTM problem with the team and see if we're a mutual fit.
