We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years learning that selling technical software is not about features, it is about understanding how an engineer's workflow breaks down at 3pm on a Thursday and showing them a better way forward. You know the difference between a demo that impresses and a solution that actually gets adopted into a product development process, and you have built your career on the latter.

You are comfortable walking into a room with a VP of Engineering and walking out with a roadmap that turns simulation software into a competitive advantage for their business. You do not just manage accounts, you build them. You see white space where others see satisfied customers, and you have the relationships and technical credibility to turn that white space into growth.

Working through channel partners does not slow you down, it multiplies your reach. You coach, you strategize, you hold partners accountable, and you make sure the customer experience never suffers because of a handoff. You are organized enough to run a complex territory and strategic enough to know which deals matter most. At Synopsys, you will own the Malaysia market for engineering simulation solutions that help customers design everything from semiconductors to systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the full sales cycle for engineering simulation solutions across Malaysia, from lead generation through close, working directly with end users and through channel partners
• Build and execute territory strategy for your assigned accounts and channel partners, driving both renewal business and new logo acquisition to meet and exceed quota
• Develop deep relationships with engineering leaders and executives who can champion Synopsys solutions across their organizations
• Coach channel partner sales teams on how to position and sell Synopsys products, ensuring they understand customer workflows, ROI metrics, and competitive differentiation
• Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations that connect technical capabilities to measurable business outcomes like faster time to market, cost reduction, or product quality improvements
• Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting, reviewing progress with channel partners regularly to ensure alignment and accountability
• Act as the liaison between customers, channel partners, and internal Synopsys teams including product, marketing, legal, and finance to resolve pricing questions, technical issues, and implementation challenges

The Impact You Will Have

• Drive revenue growth in the Malaysia territory by expanding Synopsys footprint in existing accounts and winning new customers in semiconductor, electronics, and adjacent industries
• Help engineering teams adopt simulation earlier in their product development process, reducing costly physical prototyping and accelerating innovation cycles
• Build a sustainable channel ecosystem that extends Synopsys reach and creates long-term growth leverage across the region
• Establish Synopsys as the trusted simulation partner for Malaysia-based companies developing next-generation products
• Create predictable pipeline and revenue streams that contribute directly to regional and global sales targets
• Strengthen customer retention by ensuring successful implementation and ongoing value realization from Synopsys solutions
• Influence product and go-to-market strategy by surfacing customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market trends from the field

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field with 4+ years of successful software sales and channel management experience, or 6+ years of experience without the degree
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quota in a technical software or engineering tools environment
• Experience managing both direct customer relationships and indirect sales through channel partners, including partner enablement and joint account planning
• Fluency in English and the local languages spoken across Malaysia
• Strong understanding of engineering workflows, CAE, simulation, or PLM tools is a significant advantage
• Willingness to travel up to 20% within the region to meet with customers, partners, and internal teams

Who You Are

• You can explain a complex technical value proposition to a CFO in two sentences and to an engineering manager in twenty minutes, adjusting your message without losing the substance
• You manage your pipeline like a product roadmap, knowing which deals are real, which need more work, and which are distractions
• You do not wait for partners to come to you with problems, you check in proactively, spot gaps early, and help them course-correct before a quarter goes sideways
• You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, whether that is a customer who is not sure what they need or an internal process that requires creative problem solving to move a deal forward
• You build relationships that last beyond the contract signature, turning customers into references and partners into advocates
• You stay current on what is happening in the industries you serve, from semiconductor design trends to manufacturing challenges, because it makes you a better advisor to your customers
