Position Overview

If you're an entrepreneurial brand builder who loves turning big ideas into global FMCG brands, this is your chance to pioneer ZURU Edge's newest vertical and build it from the ground up. As Brand Director – Home Care, you'll lead the global marketing strategy across our Home Care portfolio: one brand already in market, and a pipeline of three more preparing to launch. It's a strategic, commercially minded and creatively driven leadership role for a 0-to-1 launcher.

About ZURU

ZURU is a reimagination company. We look for categories that have stood still, then we build next-generation products and brands that set the new standard. ZURU Toys is reimagining play. ZURU Edge is reinventing everyday consumer brands. Rhodes Pet Science is reimagining pet science. ZURU Tech is leading the next building revolution.

ZURU started in 2003 with two brothers from New Zealand, and we're still founder-owned and operated today. Since then we've become the world's second-biggest privately held toy company, and nearly half of all Gen Y and Gen Z households with kids in the US own a ZURU product. Today we're 5,000 people in 34 offices, selling into more than 150 markets, backed by over 100 acres of fully automated manufacturing. And we're only getting started.

Position Impact

You'll build each brand into a category-defining one, while shaping a high-performing global marketing function across brands already on shelf and brands that don't exist yet. Your decisions will set positioning, budgets and launch plans for the whole vertical, and you'll grow the team as new brands come online. You'll work closely with Sales and Commercial and our largest retail accounts, and share insights and tools across ZURU's other verticals, so what you build here strengthens the wider ZURU ecosystem.

How you'll help us grow

• Define and lead the global marketing strategy across the Home Care portfolio, from the in-market brand to new brands moving through concept, positioning and launch, building long-term equity while delivering short-term commercial performance

• Steward the portfolio so every brand has clear, differentiated and consistent positioning across packaging, campaigns, retail and digital

• Lead all brand and media planning with Tier 1 markets as priority, and manage how plans cascade into Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets

• Build, rationalise and manage annual marketing budgets across the portfolio, with principled prioritisation and disciplined investment

• Build, coach and lead a high-performing marketing team, setting clear expectations, strong process and role clarity, and overseeing workflow in line with business priorities

• Anticipate team growth as new brands come online, leading recruitment and building a pipeline of future talent

• Work closely with Sales and Commercial and our largest accounts so brand plans support retail growth, launch calendars and retailer priorities

• Guide trade marketing and shopper strategies (shopper and ATL) that align with brand DNA and drive conversion at shelf and online

• Champion AI and emerging technologies across content, trend analysis, performance tracking and influencer vetting, with a test-learn-scale approach

• Use platforms such as GWI, Google Insights, Nielsen, Numerator, TikTok and Tracksuit to inform brand and campaign strategy and build sophisticated media and audience segmentation

What Helps You Win Here

• 10–12+ years in brand marketing from brand or agency roles, ideally including time with a global FMCG house, plus home care and/or laundry category knowledge

• Solid foundations across strategic planning, media and digital strategy, consumer insights, social and content, and trade marketing end to end across a multi-brand portfolio

• An established people leader with a proven ability to lead, motivate and grow high performers across multiple brand teams

• Hands-on experience taking brands from 0-to-1 launch through to global scale, while managing and driving ROI from multi-brand budgets

• Exceptional storytelling and communication, and you thrive in a fast-paced, start-up culture working with global teams across the US, EU, AU and more

Who thrives at ZURU

This isn't a 9-to-5. We move fast, think big and set goals most companies would call impossible, then go after them. The people who thrive here are entrepreneurs at heart. They own their work, chase bold ideas and never stop raising the bar.

At ZURU, you drive your career, and we give you the platform to take it as far as you can. There are opportunities here that you won’t find anywhere else, and you'll be surrounded by talented people who make things happen. We're a true meritocracy: we reward impact, not tenure.

How we work

Big ideas happen when great people work side by side, so we're office-first by design. Being together means faster collaboration, sharper decisions and stronger teams, and it's where the real learning happens. Some flexibility may be available depending on the role, location and business needs, but most roles are office-based.
