Overview

Titan Florida, LLC has an immediate opening for an Equipment Operator Loader for our Aggregates Division in Medley, FL.  This wage non-exempt position is assigned to the Quarry Production Department and will report directly to the Quarry Supervisor/lead-man.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required safety checks and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Perform a pre-shift inspection on equipment.
• Fill out all required documentation and submit on time.
• Operate medium to large production end loader within the quarry for production of limestone.
• Follow company policies and procedures as trained, instructed and communicated through all formats by Management or your supervisor/lead person.
• Conduct yourself while performing your duties in a manner properly representing the values of Titan and the respect due fellow employees.
• Maintain equipment operated in a clean and safe manner. Report all safety and operational concerns.
• Perform other tasks as directed by your supervisor/lead person.  This may include shoveling, water hosing, and other housekeeping or maintenance activities when directed.
• Perform safety inspections and actively participate in the safety committees.
• Be available for weekend and/or “after hours” work, as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Safety-minded first and foremost.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of limestone quarry operations, preferred.
• Basic knowledge of equipment used in quarry operations or heavy construction, with 2 years mining or heavy construction operating experience on an end loader.
• Ability to comprehend and apply training for other equipment that may be tasked for your operation.
• Maintain a current Florida Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Capable of working in confined spaces.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English and communicate effectively.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to walk, kneel crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
• Welding & cutting experience a benefit but not a preference.
• Mechanical background or abilities a benefit but not a preference.

 

Shift:

Must be able to work day shifts, afternoon shifts, night shifts, swing shifts, weekends, and overtime as directed.
