About the role

We are looking for a hands-on growth leader to own paid acquisition end to end. You will personally manage a paid media budget starting around $200K/month, with a path to $2M/month, primarily across TikTok and Meta, with Google, App Store, affiliates, CPA marketplaces, and other channels as secondary levers.

You will be the owner of paid acquisition at Gauss: no layers above you, no large team below you, and a lot of room to make the growth engine better.

What You’ll Do

• Own paid acquisition spend across TikTok, Meta, and secondary channels.
• Scale spend against revenue goals while staying inside per-channel CPA guardrails.
• Manage campaigns hands-on every day, including budget moves, bid tests, creative tests, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain and improve a high-volume creative pipeline across creators, and internal ideas.
• Work with our automated analytics stack to make fast decisions on CPA, payback, attribution, incrementality, and channel mix.
• Act as the main marketing liaison for lifecycle and broader growth work, while keeping paid acquisition as the core focus.

You Might Be a Fit If

• You have personally managed meaningful paid social budgets, ideally $100K+/month.
• You have hands-on experience buying on TikTok and Meta, not just managing agencies or advising others.
• You understand how CAC and creative efficiency change as spend scales.
• You have consumer fintech experience, ideally in credit building, cash advance, consumer lending, credit cards, debt, or personal finance.
• You know how to turn product insight into creative insight.
• You have built or managed a creator/UGC pipeline at meaningful volume.
• You are numerate, direct, and comfortable making daily performance decisions.
• You want high ownership in a small company more than a big team or a narrow corporate role.

Especially Relevant Backgrounds

We would be excited to meet people from companies like Self, Dovly, Cleo, Dave, Rocket Money, Chime, Kickoff, and other consumer fintech apps with serious paid social spend.

High-spend consumer subscription app experience can also be a fit if you have strong paid social judgment and can learn consumer credit quickly.

What Is Less Likely to Fit

• Mostly B2B marketing experience.
• Brand-only or lifecycle-only backgrounds.
• Agency managers who have not been hands-on in the ad accounts.
• Managers who no longer operate campaigns directly.
• Candidates without consumer app experience.
• Candidates unfamiliar with US consumer credit, unless they have unusually strong consumer paid acquisition experience.

Why This Role Matters

Gauss already has a meaningful paid acquisition engine. The next step is scaling it with discipline.

At our size, media budget is a major company function. The person in this role will have real leverage over growth, revenue, creative direction, and the pace of the business.

If you are a senior performance marketer who wants the scope of a Head of Growth role without leaving the work behind, this is that seat.
