Papaya Global is a rapidly growing, award-winning B2B tech unicorn with an ambitious mission to revolutionize the payroll & payments industry. With over $400M raised from multiple tier-one investors, our innovative technology provides a comprehensive solution for managing global workforces, encompassing everything from hiring and onboarding to managing and paying employees in over 160 countries.
About the role
We are looking for a creative, hands-on Creative Community & Events Builder to help establish, grow, and maintain a vibrant global professional community around Papaya Global - through both digital channels and memorable real-world experiences.
Reporting to the Event Marketing Lead, you will create thoughtful event and community experiences across Papaya’s global event portfolio while building meaningful engagement with our audiences, partners, and customers.
This is more than an event logistics or community-management role. You will combine strong execution and project coordination with creativity, curiosity, and a genuine desire to bring people together. You will help shape how Papaya shows up in the market through events, online community engagement, field activations, executive experiences, and creative brand moments.
Responsibilities
- Help establish, grow, and maintain Papaya Global’s professional community and event presence across relevant channels, platforms, and markets.
- Create and manage a community and events engagement calendar, including content, conversations, member communications, virtual sessions, events, and follow-up activity.
- Welcome and engage community members and event audiences; encourage meaningful discussion and connections with Papaya experts, content, events, and one another.
- Track community and event feedback, recurring questions, and engagement signals, turning insights into ideas for content, programming, and experiences.
- Own selected events end to end, including community events, field activations, executive dinners, partner events, webinars, and targeted prospect experiences.
- Support larger global event programs, including trade shows, Papaya-led events, and strategic partner events.
- Build event plans, timelines, budgets, checklists, run-of-show documents, attendee journeys, and post-event reports.
- Develop and execute creative experiences, including gifting, signage, engagement moments, and branded event materials.
- Support invitations, registration pages, attendee lists, event communications, decks, signage, and social assets.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Design to create relevant experiences for priority audiences and markets.
- At least 1 year of experience in B2B events, field marketing, community marketing, experiential marketing, community management, or a similar role.
- Experience supporting or owning events, activations, or community initiatives from planning through execution and follow-up.
- A genuine interest in creating engaging events, building online communities, and starting conversations people want to join.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- A creative eye and interest in building fresh, human, and memorable experiences.
- Confidence working with vendors, agencies, venues, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- A proactive, practical, hands-on attitude—you enjoy taking an idea and making it happen.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced global environment.
What success looks like
- Papaya has an active, well-maintained online community with consistent, valuable engagement.
- Community members and event audiences feel welcomed, informed, and connected to relevant people, content, and experiences.
- Events and activations are delivered smoothly, on time, and with a strong attendee experience.
- Papaya’s presence across events, community, and field experiences feels creative, polished, and on brand.
- Community, event, and field initiatives create meaningful engagement with priority audiences.
- Insights from the community and events strengthen relationships, pipeline, and broader go-to-market goals.
